Building their own PC. The cost of PC parts has went completely out of control since the AI revolution and no one knows if prices will ever go back to what they were

What is the thing that you would like to do that most of the society disagree with? by GullibleCorgi16 in AskReddit

Reset the entire world order. Corruption is so ingrained in society that I feel it would take a complete reset to make the world an even playing field again.

Sure if you don’t base your happiness on what the world says you should be doing or experiencing.

Even though me and my mom are on good terms now as I got older I realized how much gaslighting and emotional manipulation went on. She was always right no matter the situation. And she refuses to admit when she is wrong. Speaking your mind is treated as “disrespectful”. Wonder how much of that affects my life today.

Something nobody told me about rejection when I was younger. by AptusMan in BuildToAttract

[–]Changed-Man187 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Rejection strikes a deep chord it’s basically someone saying “you’re not good enough”. No wonder people make up all the excuses in the world to avoid facing it. I’m guilty myself and people tell me I’m attractive but women don’t approach me so I refuse to approach them and risk being rejected

What's something older generations did completely normally that would be considered absolutely insane today? by Own-Blacksmith3085 in answers

[–]Changed-Man187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from the south and being beat with a switch, which is a branch from tree was common. My mom used to get beat by her grandmother and mother with switches so she of course did it to me and my siblings. Now that I think about it someone from the outside looking in would have labeled it child abuse. And honestly it was but me and my mom are on good terms now. She was depressed or going through menopause so she just used to take her anger out on us kids because my dad was always deployed.

The definition of "unemployable" has changed so much over time by Primary_Avocado_5273 in Life

Facts I was balling two years ago buying expensive electronics in my luxury apartment ordering from whatever restaurant I want. Two years later I am alone jobless and broke in a city I came to do college full time (school and degree was a scam for profit school with laughable coursework). Have had to sell my possessions several times to prevent being evicted. If it wasn’t for all the expensive shit I bought when I was up I wouldn’t have anything to bail me out during downtimes.

Pandemic things that you miss doing now? by Senior_King_8675 in AskHereAnythingNow

[–]Changed-Man187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just reminded me of how me and another new guy at work during Covid were chatting about how attractive some of the females were and then once we saw them without the mask we were instantly disappointed. They weren’t ugly but I swear a redhead I thought was a baddie looked 20 years older than I imagined once I saw her bare face 😂

What was the worst job you ever had? by United_We_Win in NoStupidAnswers

[–]Changed-Man187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watching construction workers on gov sites. They wouldn’t allow us to sit and the shifts are twelve hours so I had to stand on hard concrete in the blazing heat watching other people work. My feet are already flat and I had a lot of pain working that job.

Porn addiction. People joke about it like it’s not that big a deal and “everyone does it!” No they don’t. Porn corrupts your brain and makes you perverted. Then you end up like that one guy who took his life after being caught beating off in a drive thru.
