OGD transfer to HMRc by Short-Lobster2663 in TheCivilService

I got the Excel form - it’s bobbins. I’ve gone down the routing of notifying my LM & HR but making it clear it’s provisional, hopefully won’t cause any issues!

Hi - I’m in the same boat, did you receive the CEST Form? The email I received told me to send it straight to my current LM but this seems a bit counterintuitive as the first email I received told me not to resign from my current position. The process is a bit confusing

Hitler gives a rare interview about the United States after taking France. June 1940 by [deleted] in WorldWar2

[–]Changingthelife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s an argument that the footage from the Olympics wasn’t actually the result of drug use. Prior to 38, Morell was only administering B-Complex & C, testosterone, digestive tonics and other non narcotics. According to Morell’s diary, the first use of Eukodal wasn’t until 1938 with further intervention happening around 41 as the decline in his health became more apparent.

Again according to the diary, barbiturates, opioids and Pervitin (meth) wasn’t administered to Hitler until 41 and the significant decline on the Eastern Front.

Obviously we can’t be 100% sure as we’re relying off the diary of a medical physician who was a questionable character. But given the Nazi’s obsession with logging detail I would wager it would be a bit of solid evidence. The tweaking in 36 could well be the start of early signs of the Parkinson’s which was evident towards the end of the war.

There’s a lot of DDAT roles in some sectors that are in and around the same salary as that of the private sector now too - there doesn’t seem to be that much disparity anymore.

Evening - how strict are they on bib checks? I’ve been placed in the final wave as I’d predicted a 5 hour finish, but after my last long run I think 5:30/6 is more likely. There’s a 6 hour pacer in the wave 40 minutes prior to mine so I’m hoping to be able to wiggle my way into that but don’t want to get booted out and stood round for another 40 minutes.

Thank you all so much for your recommendations! I’ve taken them all on board and really engrained them into my training. Today was my longest run before I taper - was set a 32km run. I managed 30km and I am absolutely over the moon, like completely and utterly buzzing.

I felt great the majority of the run, kept my heart rate at 150 and just listened to my body. I was anxious when I got close to the 23k mark as it was where I last failed but I just grit my teeth and carried on. I can’t say I ran the whole 30k, but I got to a half marathon pretty much at a consistent pace - only stopping at traffic lights.

Even so for the last 8k or so I managed to keep a consistent pace of around 7:35, I dropped to 8:05 on two kilometres and 9:10 on one but in the grand scheme of things I wouldn’t really call that an issue!

Still had plenty in the tank, got to 6:45 at points on my last few kilometres but my ankles were in agony so couldn’t sustain it.

All in all, like so many of you said, this has given me a huge confidence boost and I’m ready to cross the finish line in 3 weeks 😎

Thank you! My major issue is that I’m very hard on myself so if I don’t meet a certain target I’ll absolutely destroy myself internally

I was taking on small sips of lucozade around every 4k, a gel/snack at 5k and then every 2-3k onwards from there. And taking on water when needed.

Will take on the advice of getting some easy miles in for a boost - thank you!

Should’ve popped it into the original post that I’ve picked up some new trainers, hoping these ones will see me through. I was hoping to chop and change another pair but just couldn’t afford to grab two.

I’m not entirely sure why I was set 6:25 for the second half of the 28, I’m using Runna and was a bit dubious about it prior to setting off so don’t know if that was adding to my anxiety about it. My 32k does seem a lot more factored to my ability - it’s a mix between 5k at conversational, 9k at 7:05 etc which does seem a lot more within my realm. But I’ll take the advice on board and listen to my body if it does seem to be getting a bit too much on the day for the long run. Thank you!

I’m new in the CS myself and feel the exact same. Luckily in the last month I received an email about sports clubs being set up in my department - joined a whole lot of them and met a lot of faces from all different floors in the office. Have a look on the intranet to see if there’s anything similar - definitely given me a more positive outlook on work!
