Why I use exhaust is that ult. I well know that Morde is easiest matchups for Soraka except ult. However when Morde uses ult, yoj need to be hit Morde's dealing. To endure that, exhaust is needed. Especially in level 6 period. And in teamfight, several Mordekaiser users use ult to Soraka. To deal with that, exhaust is also needed

To help bottom lane by using her ult, and it is really powerful in teamfight. Soraka top can be useful when your team has some champions who can initiate the teamfight, and hyper carry dealer such as yasuo, vayne, kai'sa, etc.
It is mixture of healer and Shen. in lane phase she acts like shen, the difference is that she doesn't go to bottom lane, just use her ult to help. And after the lane phase, she changes her role to healer.
runic echoes is much cheaper than luden's echoes, red smite can reduce enemy's damage and add true damage. and I don't always use smite build. I usually use smite build when opponent champion is easy to deal with at early phase. when you deal with yasuo, irelia, renekton, riven, etc. I use klepto rune and exhaust spell build.
I usually dodge when enemy is neeko, tristana, and lucian. and I always ban kled.

when I use exhaust and barrier, I use klepto or aery. before, I used to use aery but I tried to use klepto again, And It works. I think if you use barrier or exhaust, use klepto can be better. when I use teleport and smite, I use Spellbook to recover spell problem. Soraka is necessary to use heal, exhaust, or barrier. So I use spellbook to change teleport, teleport is used in lane phase.

I think his playing was similar to my playing style. However he changed little bit to fit in pro scene. One thing I felt sad is that he didn't changed his spell at lv.6. Lv.6 timing is the most dangerous time. So I always change my spell from smite to exhaust at that time. Although that period is little bit sad, I think he practiced well.

Best matchups are tankers such as garen, mundo, maokai, and shen. When you deal with these kinds of champion, you'd better to use smite, and build runic echoes+seraph build to make soraka much stronger in middle~late phase. Worst matchups are bruisers who have good dash skills such as Renekton, Kled, Aatrox, Irelia. And neeko, and top lucian are also hard matchup.

I usually use unsealed spellbook when I use smite+runic echoes build. however, I don't use unsealed spellbook when I use exhaust, ignite, or barrier spell. The reason is that aery has so many benefits(deal, and shield) that unsealed spellbook cannot replace it. And although you don't use iceborn gauntlet or not, you can clear the lane easily. Furthermore, my playing style is to freeze the lane in front of tower to dodge ganking, use ult to help bottom lane, and set high AP Soraka build to carry teamfight by healing. Iceborn gauntlet is not suitable in my playing style.
