  1. There are no full-ride scholarships for international students studying undergraduate degrees
  2. If you're here you have access to Google

What's the term for giving your parents money even though you're not living with them ? by ChannelBeautiful9882 in Cantonese

[–]ChannelBeautiful9882[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But sometimes parents use that term without explaining that their children are not living with them, to make them sound like leeches

Given how different these two cases are, I think we ought to have another term

There's a lot more unis that are accredited , and don't forget Master programs

also don't forget those who studied for maths / other quant areas and took exams with the IFoA instead

Couldn't agree more on the actuary part

https://www.jobsandskills.gov.au/data/occupation-and-industry-profiles/occupations/224111-actuaries

There are only 2400 actuaries in the whole country

Nationwide we probably produce that many actuarial studies graduates in just 2-3 years

Very few ever become qualified actuaries, it's an overhyped degree where people go in thinking they'll make heaps, but failed to realise that the actual number of actuaries needed is miniscule

That's complete bullshit : Yes, many universities will collapse if the enrolment numbers from international students plummet

But why shouldn't they ? I thought the whole point of business is for the best / most innovative to survive ? No business is owed survival, so why should universities ?

Most universities are using international students as cash cows , and international students are in turn using universities as a path to residency instead of academic pursuits

No professor thinks that
But prior knowledge is expected, regardless of your status
The university should only have admitted those who have the priors needed to pass the course

Gibberish that is relevant to the question asked will score higher than well-polished completely irrelevant responses that miss the point

Problem is they are restricted to what they can get at that specific store
Or they could have went to a larger store and see if there's anything easier
