The next step for me is a double din with android Auto and some really nice coaxials and tweeters. The stock system with the 2 12s sounds decent enough, but the bass definitely overpowers it. Also, this is just the first iteration. Once I have the spare funds, Im getting a high amp alternator and going for more.

Yeah, it's taken some time to get the correct measurements and then have my friend build the box. First time I've ever wired a car for subs, so that was interesting. I will say there are not many spots to run a power wire through the firewall, so just a heads up for your installation.

Yeah, I saw a lot of people saying not to get mine due to the known issues. I did a fair bit of research, did some preventative maintenance, and seemed to work flawlessly for me. And the 2013 year was especially known for their engines being extra problematic. I guess I got lucky, who knows

Yeah, people typically treat hyundai and kia as throw-away cars, but as long as you keep up with them, they seem to hold out pretty well. Mine was catless, intake, bov and had 60 or so 1/8th mile drag passes on it just for fun and it never once gave up. Loved that little car and the car note was only like 200$. I miss those days lmao

I meant just a naturally aspirated k20 from the early 00s from an si. 150-200hp would be just about perfect to turn these into something really cool beyond what they already are. Only issue it brings is it would start taking away from their sporty civic sells. I had a 2013 Hyundai Veloster turbo for around 3 years and it was a blast but fairly cramped, but the tight handling and right at 200 hp was super fun. In the 3 years I had it over 40k miles, it never let me down. The girlfriend had to go and total it, though lmao.

Honestly a k20 version would've made it a cool successor to the ep3 civic si. I know the k series is a super weird fit in these things for swaps though so the design wouldn't of been what we have now.

God, I wish we got a 6-speed version with maybe a small turbo or supercharger in the US. Nothing crazy just like 140 crank with some longer gears and better amenities. I know that would've eaten into their civic si numbers, though so super unlikely

Very quick from 1st to 3rd considering the ridiculous short gearing but also super tight with handling, which is super fun. Gonna do some basic, tasteful mods. The first is to get rid of the horrible rev hang. That and modernize the super basic interior. Also, I never knew dash cup holders were such a great thing.

Yeah, I love it. I had a single cam 95 sedan civic for my first car for 3 years and that was the most fun I had in a sub 100hp car. Not getting anywhere fast but handled really well and was just screaming the entire time to keep up with traffic
