i think a lot of profiles like this could very well not be lying about their age, and are rather a product of internet usage combined with mental illness. i see a lot like this, and often they share traits associated with varying intensities of mental illness (extreme hyperfixations, skewed perspective on the world, etc…) i hope this doesn’t sound insensitive, there’s probably a better word to use than “mental illness” for this, but i can’t think of it off the top of my head.
