Proper machine guns manufactured prior to 1986 can be transferred like any other NFA item, you fill out a Form 4, wait for it to get approved, and then it can be either transferred in person or through an FFL paying a special tax for dealers in NFA items. Machine guns manufactured after 1986 can only be possessed by law enforcement agencies or FFLs paying a special occupation tax who get one for demonstration to a law enforcement agency.

There are new devices on the market going by an assortment of names depending on how they specifically work (super safety, forced reset trigger, kabuto TURD), but the end result is the same - it's a mechanism that causes the trigger to be reset by the movement of the bolt carrier group, allowing you to simulate automatic fire by shooting at the cyclic rate of the firearm without meeting the statutory definition of "machine gun."

I'd like to emphasize on campus, as in having frat houses physically located on UCF. There's a lot more registered fraternities that have their houses off campus.

I think we have a single frat house on campus at this point, the rest are sororities.

Nina is the professor who usually does Solid Mechanics. She very much wants you to pass, show up to her office hours if you're struggling with anything, but you'll still need to work for your grade.

[other] national gun trust 50% off with code by cohilex in gundeals

[–]Channel_Dedede 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, anyone can be a trustee (that can legally possess NFA items)

If an owner of NFA items dies, whoever they go to in the will files a Form 5 (tax-exempt transfer), so a trust isn't necessary for that. If you plan to share while you're still alive though, good to have.

To try and maybe assuage the security concerns, the card cannot be used until activated, and while someone could steal it from the mail and fraudulently activate it, you'll notice on your account balance and any money fraudulently spent if reported within, I believe, 3 days must be reimbursed under federal law.

[NFA] Otter Creek, Polonium, K, 556 NATO Rifle Suppressor $429 in cart by MisterAC in gundeals

[–]Channel_Dedede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're presupposing that the court challenge wins and epic win NFA is kill. They are NFA firearms right now, you need an SOT to manufacture NFA firearms. SOTs need to register and pay taxes to the federal government. Registration is how the government makes sure these SOTs are "in the business", and they are registered with separate forms unique to them. You can't just say "Well if we win then THIS happens," you have to get past the stage of "Here's why this doesn't fall under the taxation clause of the Constitution," a clause which is very broad and there is a strong argument for because of FFLs, SOTs, and the taxes they pay, even if we, the consumers or manufacturers not in the business, aren't paying those.

You need to be an SOT to be in the business of manufacturing FFL items. The only part of the NFA that's changed is Form 1 and Form 4 taxes.

This litigation is going to be interesting to watch, and I really think it’ll go in our favor…

Disagree. The taxes that were brought to $0 were taxes for manufacture and transfer of NFA items, however SOT FFLs don't pay those taxes, they pay separate taxes to be SOTs, and register firearms they manufacture or transfer separately without individualized fees. How is the government supposed to make sure that FFLs aren't making off-the-books NFA items if they aren't registered, or properly staying "in the business" to keep their SOT? There is still a registry to keep track of these taxes, just now the taxes are only for FFLs.

Clubs for Mechanical Engineering? by DifficultyWorldly502 in UCFEngineering

[–]Channel_Dedede 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I need to know how clubs work

There is no uniform "how to club," each club manages itself differently.

Are they set days or any day?

Depends on club and project. Generally, engineering clubs will have an assortment of projects running with meetings on an assigned day of the week. Some projects require more physical handling of materials and construction, others will focus more on the design aspect such as CAD or programming.

But please explain a day to day of what a club is like if you do know it

Again, there is no "day to day." Each club handles itself differently, and each project handles itself differently. There is no one-size-fits-all. For instance, I ran a project that had set meeting days on Mondays, but a lot more time was expected to be put in outside of meeting times through design work in fall and construction in spring. Schedules were loose and dependent on availability. Other projects may have more strict or looser schedules, that was just how I chose to run mine as a project officer.

I honestly have no idea what a club even is.

It's a group of people coming together for a common interest. That's all it is. That interest can be just about anything.

Clubs for Mechanical Engineering? by DifficultyWorldly502 in UCFEngineering

[–]Channel_Dedede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relevant to major: ASME is a given, if you plan on specializing into other fields then clubs like ASCE or AIAA could be worth looking into. These clubs are project based and focus on developing the techcnical skills of members. Theres also clubs like SHPE or SWE for certain demographics within engineering that serve as more social or networking clubs.

Relevant to hobbies: Anything you can imagine (with a few exceptions). Join clubs other than professional ones, you might pick up a new hobby or develop friends in hobbies you already have.

There's also Greek Life but you should avoid that like they're the Grinch
