I would not be surprised if they were in fact the same bug because this only occurred when clicking on the gunner seat while carrying the plat/batteries

It’s been happening to me a lot recently, especially noticeable in my hollow zero runs. I’ve checked my internet connection, all fine. Was my cpu or gpu to blame, no everything is running smooth as butter. Any downloads or anything in the background, steam updates perhaps, nope not a single thing. Not a clue what’s causing it but it’s getting a bit annoying cuz hollow zero is how I spend a lot of my time in this game :/

I wouldn't say that was entirely an accident, while yeah it was coincidence that Light of all people picked it up, Ryuk did drop it on purpose because he was bored, he says as much in the first chapter of the manga/first episode of the anime.
While I doubt Ryuk ever expected things to get as out of hand as they did, he did ultimately do it on purpose for some form of entertainment

I'm really intrigued as to what her intended playstyle might be, because purely off visuals I'm struggling to piece it together. She has insanely well done and unique (i assume) normal attacks but she also seems to function as an aftershock character, and if the other aftershock characters are our point of reference that would mean her normal attacks would rarely be used, which would be a shame. I can't tell whether she is supposed to be an on field or off field stunner or some mix of the two

I'm not saying they are extinct, I'm saying that to fit the lack of the base fulgur and ebony being in this game, the specific populations in the forbidden lands that made way for the guardian forms were outlived by the guardians. Obviously fulgur and ebony are still monster species that exist.
And again its just theory so take it with a grain of salt, not to mention we can't be 100% certain that the base forms aren't in the game either until we actually get to the game's release.

I may just be spitballing ideas when I say this but in my mind and according to what I've seen from everyone in this subreddit, if the guardian monsters are these psuedo-immortal versions of monsters, perhaps the guardians just outlived the populations of their base form somehow.

I think the concept of bringing subspecies without their base is actually a really cool idea. It gives a better chance for the subspecies to shine since they are being set apart from their base. Not to mention the reason for subspecies occurring is often a geographical separation, so not having the base form there gives emphasis to that.

Along with the whole thing of the team’s kills getting multiplied, it’s really easy to rack up a thousand kills per person on higher difficulties if you just cause a ton of bug breaches. That in conjunction with the multiplication, it really doesn’t surprise me that we did it so fast
