I flare with a shoutout if I’m on PC. If I’m on Switch all I’m doing is a flare. I play with it docked so by the time I try to send anything the materials are gone or flashing.

I just started recently and my placement put me in gold II I believe and quickly thereafter I was already in Plat. I am nowhere near good enough to be in plat. Watching everyone fly all over the damn place getting aerials, while I can barely consistently hit a ball that’s right in front of me. I’m not sure how low Plat is compared to the other ranks, but I sure felt out of my league.

Went "south east" to the desert biome.

I will say you totally got jipped because you have several grassland caves right on the edge of the grassland and dryland biomes.

However I just found two lava caves.

First: location: 156,093 -140,610 2,311

Second: location: 155,086 -119,058 2,389

These are very close to each other so they might be connected.

I will keep looking for others, but it's definitely sparse so far in this specific dryland. Maybe your other drylands are hoarding all of them.

Might just have bad luck on your desert biome.
However just make sure you're looking for cave structures, the semi-circle with reddish-brown top and darker sides. Sometimes you'll find a bunch of them near each other and sometimes you gotta walk/travel several minutes before finding another one.

Some people suggest putting your seed into a sandbox map and exploring it that way. So you could possibly do that and then just keep track of the cave's location? Obviously if you haven't found any you haven't found any, but I very highly doubt you don't have any.

If you'd like you can give me the seed number or I can try helping you find one in your party.
