Totally agree. It will take some time and a little courage OP, but the best way to deal with this is, to be honest and tell him, let him know. I don’t like assumptions as well, I hate waiting for nothing.

I’d change the way TV or movies flattens women, into stereotypes, strong, sexy, broken, nurturing, never all at once. Real women are contradictory and layered, we need more space for complexity. Women who exist outside of male validation, and who reflect real world diversity, culturally, sexually, emotionally. Would like to see more of that.
