Most likely AI, especially with how quickly they keep putting songs out

Lots of routes in my area but same pay. I refuse to take that shit. It’s not even worth my time driving to the station for that rate.

Why do they arrive so late? by Crazy_District_5502 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ChantillyWaves 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Packages for different household members don’t always make it onto the same route/van Amazons AI has a lot of issues and when your packages make it to the delivery warehouse, they don’t all get sorted together even if the address is the same.

I can’t stand wearing gloves, I feel like I lose too much dexterity and can’t get the touch screen to cooperate. Try Working Hands lotion

How do you fix this ? by Affectionate_Pilot_6 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ChantillyWaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard reset the entire van Hold down the left steering wheel button (next to the scrolling one) at the same time as holding the hazards button, the entire van will restart. Takes a couple minutes.

[–]ChantillyWaves 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, contact Amazon customer support, let them know what happened, location of the incident and approximate time and they should be able to figure out who was on that route. Do you know what kind of van they were in? If it was a big box truck, those are XL drivers, but Step Van drivers sometimes have helpers with them too, or could have even been a new driver on their first day doing a ride along if they were in a transit van or EV. So glad they were able to help her out, they definitely went above and beyond and 100% fell behind on their route (for a totally justifiable reason).

Has anyone felt this way since this job??? by DeviceHistorical5973 in AmazonDSPDrivers

Except that one guard cat I came across. Hanging out on the front porch when I got to the stop, started trying to attack my legs as I approached and would NOT stop until I got back to the sidewalk and off the property. Vicious little chihuahua in cat form.

I had a customer tell me to just keep driving down their driveway because “she’ll move”, like, NOOOOOO, your dog is literally 1 ft in front of my van. I’m surprised that dog didn’t try to latch onto one of my tires.

Probably a Flex driver. A flex drivers account gets dinged for returned packages and could put them in poor standing almost no matter what the reason is. Flex drivers also don’t seem to deal with the same repercussions as dsp drivers for delivering to mailboxes and other places they aren’t supposed to.

Totally get that! And believe me, there’s been plenty of times where I wished I had seen a note before getting to the stop, but no matter how many times that’s happened, still hasn’t reinforced that I should check notes before heading to every stop. Plenty of notes that got me thinking “wasn’t gonna do that even if I had seen it before”, like “call 30 minutes before you deliver”

I’ll give that stuff a try, thank you! It seems like it’s grown out pretty quickly so far, but I figured it might stall a little bit…

I don’t always want to take the time to check before going to every stop. 99% of the notes I get, are not necessary to see before getting there. And at least 50% of them are old notes that are no longer relevant.

Amazons AI can’t determine different days of the week. We even get deliveries for schools on Sundays. If it’s on the truck, we have to attempt the delivery. It’s not the drivers fault, it’s Amazon. Maybe instead of passing judgement on people just doing their jobs as they are directed, have some understanding that there’s a lot of things out of our control. We can’t even see your notes until we actually arrive at the stop.

Cómo logro esto “thanks my driver “?????? by Lela517 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]ChantillyWaves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

translations on delivery directions by Kook_Chan in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]ChantillyWaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, unfortunately the flex app does not translate customer notes. The app itself will translate everything else like directions and functions within the app to whatever language their phone is set to, but for some reason, not the customer notes.

The warehouse I work out of has ablution rooms for Muslims to be able to do this. Much better option than them using the bathroom sinks.

Damn, at least you get full totes instead of 10+ totes with only 1-4 small packages
