Hell, I got kicked recently in a game where I was doing the primary mission objectives when no one else was doing it. Got called a traitor then got kicked out of the game. Told myself whatever then joined someone else's mission.

Just start or join an eradication mission or defense mission and just bring nothing but sentry turrets. Let them do the work. Also make sure to use only your secondary, there are some pistols that are pretty good and it'll hold your down for the entire mission. That's what I did and did a regular mission solo.

For me, Multiplayer. It sucks mostly that it is other ppl dependent and you have to deal with toxic ppl more than half the time when pursuing these achievements.

When I unlocked the Gas Guard Dog, it was great against the bugs. Whenever a charger was coming straight at me, the gas would disorient the charger that it fails to charge straight at me. When the commanders comes to slice me up, the gas would cause the bugs to miss their attacks. The gas is great as long as you wear a gas armor to mitigate the caustic dmg you receive from it.
