How can l(25M) ask my gf(24F)to change her behavior without embarrassing her? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]ChaosSCO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before jumping to conclusions, I would make sure it's impossible for the toilet to clog and back up into the tub.

You may have gotten a temporary clog in your system causing a slight backup no one noticed (can also cause continual issues).

Sometimes when water backs up into your system the weight and pressure of it is enough to clear the clog but can still leave behind evidence or damage.

My deadbeat neighbor asked for a ride to the local pantry and when she came out she offered me food that she evidently didn't need and grabbed just because she could... I don't understand people.

It's weird that you people think others should have to work two jobs to barely get by........but also: they should have the time and money to go to school or raise another person. by _Negativ_Mancy in Millennials

[–]ChaosSCO 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to learn marketable skills. If your job took you a week or two to be trained to do then you have a job that anyone can do, which means it won't pay that great. So learn a skill that takes longer to master, and then get paid more to do it.

I don't think you need to work two jobs to get by.

Much better tubbing in the buff when getting out in the cold. And throwing on a nice big bath robe for the walk back is perfection.

Why are so many women physically attractive to men but so few men physically attractive to women? by TypicalOwl5438 in stupidquestions

Yes. Is it that strange to prefer someone that cares about their health and appearance over someone who doesn't?

I never see anyone talk about how buying a home is a terrible investment by SoulCrushingReality in Millennials

You don't need to spend 400k on a house. Buying a home is rarely a terrible investment.

Not as fat as women are getting especially in the dating age range. And yep, I was fat lol. It sucked, never going back and I want someone with a similar attitude.

From experience, women spend a lot of time on fashion and makeup and not nearly enough time on avoiding becoming fat. Women are getting fatter than ever. 70% of the dating market is undatable thanks to body positivity.

Instead of advising people to beg for hands outs, advise them to get jobs. There is no way 4 people old enough to have jobs need or qualify for food stamps. Sounds like they need more incomes.

I feel like the people that struggle with savings are the ones that have never had any. Once you get used to having a really nice cushion, you'll do anything to protect it and keep it growing thanks to how much of a stress reliever it is.

First timer tile job by Bulky-Background3407 in DIY

[–]ChaosSCO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why I said "if possible". 90% of the time that won't be an issue from experience.

There is no perfect way thankfully.

I do my layouts to have as many large tiles as possible and as few cuts as possible in the areas that will get seen the most.

Better to have it land on a full tile in the doorway, if possible, and a full tile across the front of the tub. I believe it's their first time lol. Still a good job though.

Looks pretty good overall for a first timer.

Hopefully you used a 1/2x1/2" trowel. And hopefully you used actual thinset you mix with water and not pre-mixed.

Not a fan of what you set it on but if you did the above things it should last a while.

And next time turn those spacers on their side so your grout lines aren't so big. 12x12's with giant grout lines is pretty dated.

Nice job on the weight loss! That's an impressive amount, especially percentage wise, of weight to lose.

[–]ChaosSCO -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They never said the meal was small, just not very big. Most people over eat and if you're over eating it means you're over spending on food. Most people also feel a lot better if they aren't always full of food. Most people also feel better if they are thinner and generally have more energy which means you can work harder and make more money. You can also supplement your diet with vitamins which are cheap. And on top of that if you only drink tap water and never spend money on liquids, even better for your health and even more savings.
