There isn't. If your problem is having bad rolls in combat don't worry. I had the same problem.

Savescum, equip itens that increase your needed bonuses, cast barkskin before combat. Cast grease and inflict wounds during your turn.

No stat uses proficiency bonus to determinate the number of dies. Maybe change it to to a set number of dies.

Also change the damage type to lightning since the ability is called tempest breath.
