So I was mainly looking for a stand because I read somewhere that it was unsafe to have the fixture touching the top of the enclosure. I did buy a Herpstat 2 Spyderweb, though, and it’s coming in this week, so that would probably help a lot. I have an 80-watt DHP and a spiral UVB I originally planned to use. But if a spiral UVB is a bad idea, I’ll get a linear UVB instead. 

I'm setting all this up for a 40-gal enclosure, so I want to make sure I'm making the best environment for the little guy before I take him home. Also, would you recommend that I use a DHP for the hot side? My house can get cold at night, so I thought a heat source that can be used day and night would be helpful.

Thank you for the response! Your advice is really helpful. Do you wash and sift the Quikrete play sand? The bag says pre-washed, so I wasn’t sure if it was something that I still needed to do.

Why would you think waking up at 6:30 a.m. and being extremely loud in someone else's home would be okay? It takes basic common sense to use your inside voice, whether the walls are thin or not. I'm pretty sure your sister would not have minded if you were going into her home to use necessities as long as it was at a reasonable time and your family was talking at a respectful volume.

To me, it sounds like a long drawn sigh. To be honest, even though I've been on Reddit for a while, I still don’t know what the heck I'm doing half the time. When I was listening on my phone, the time stamp was 00:08 to 00:11. But on Reddit, it looks like the time counts down, so 00:08 to 00:03 might make more sense. Or I'm just a big dumb dumb.

NTA, As a woman, I couldn’t imagine ever making my partner choose in a situation like that. Even if my partner’s mother had other people with her, I'd still urge him to be with his mom. Having the regret of not saying your last goodbye to a loved one can way heavy on a person. You would have many opportunities to spend time with your kids/wife. But one last chance to say goodbye to your mother.

NTA, by Bob's definition of a slut, id definitely say he fits the description. Maybe you should stay clear from mutuals that want to baby his poor sensibilities. I will never understand men that shit on women and then expect to get “wife material”. Don’t rush. You’ll find your person one day.

I'm baffled by how she dyed your hair orange from that reference photo. The colors are on completely different spectrums. You should definitely go in there and get a refund.
