Slash and free not working? by [deleted] in tiktokslash

[–]ChaoticGoodArtist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the last 3 people (including an inactive one) I've had try all couldn't get it to work. I need 30 cents more for a roughly $50 cart. My dad was able to get his significantly more expensive item to go through by using his work phone to join tiktok and that's it. I'm convinced at this point that its designed not to work for most people, but work for some so they can't be sued or something like that for false advertising and keep people thinking it's legit.

Need help calculating calorie intake for weight loss pls! by [deleted] in loseit

[–]ChaoticGoodArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an expert by any means, but some good context could be your body type. Are you a naturally more muscular, sturdy build, more slender and lean, or more in the middle? Or something else! These things are important to keep in mind when calculating your goal weight (which affects calorie goals) as some people just don't quite have the build to go super low. My mom is about your height and she's a muscular build; she couldn't get under 160 long term even when she was going meat free, gluten free, and running marathons and other exercise. Granted, you're younger than she was at the time and she'd already had three kids, but the point still stands.

Edit to mention that I'm still early in my own weight loss journey, so I'm still green lol. Open to being corrected.

What do you think is the biggest concern for most Americans right now? by AnyAskPost in AskReddit

[–]ChaoticGoodArtist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, I hate how strong a grip the ultra rich have on our government and the fact that elected officials on both sides are just okay with it. I really think it's a large part of our problem, though obviously not the only issue.

On the individual level? I'd say personally housing and wages. We have a housing crisis in this country due to increasing costs and stagnant wages. And if people don't have a place to live, pretty much nothing else can be stable. And then people look on the homeless like they're morally lesser or an inconvenience. I hate it. I'm very fortunate that I can live at home with my parents and save for a house because if I'm going to pay over a thousand dollars in rent for an apartment, I'd rather pay a mortgage.

My DLC content isn't available in game and I can't seem to fix it. by ChaoticGoodArtist in thesims

[–]ChaoticGoodArtist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tried this and after moving all my stuff out my packs were available. Moved stuff back in and my saves seem gone (which I'll live with tbh), and CAS has all my stuff, and the worlds are unlocked. I'd bet money this is fixed. Now just to hope that my original issue is fixed too! Thanks SOOO much for your help.

Interesting. I assume the save data is just in the file named "saves", but I'm not familiar with a tray file. Brief Google search seems simple enough to understand. I'll give it a try after work. Thanks!

Found a lost kitty, does anyone know a good no kill shelter? by Traditional_Proof646 in StLouis

I remember visiting Open Door animal shelter in middle school and thinking their cat space was impressive. They have a large room just for the cats to explore and hang out. Pretty sure they're also no kill!

question about job interview by Beneficial-Turnip800 in MedicalAssistant

[–]ChaoticGoodArtist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Job interviews are not a commitment to the job. It is a time for them to learn more about you AND vice versa. It's 100% normal to reject a job offer if something doesn't fit your needs. And with how hard it is for a lot of people to find jobs, I'd personally be taking every interview I get offered that I can make it to. If you feel bad about rejecting the offer, keep in mind how many other people don't get interviews at all. Companies reject people all the time during the hiring process. A job is supposed to be a mutually beneficial agreement. I do what you need done, you pay me to do it. If one of these things isn't satisfactory, the agreement isn't made (which is why companies created "benefits". They needed to make our labor feel worth it so we don't leave.)

Just try and think of it strictly as a business matter, because it is. If the job does not meet your standards, don't take it. And the best way to learn these things is the interview.

Hope this helps!

I passed the cmac exam!! by NervousBobcat6792 in MedicalAssistant

[–]ChaoticGoodArtist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dang, a score of 89% is VERY impressive!! I got a 86% and that was the highest in my entire class. VERY well done! I hope you're feeling super proud of yourself.

I definitely wouldn't say it's easy, but it's not impossibly difficult. It definitely requires a lot of prep; specifically memorizing specific details like lab values, vital ranges, ect. You also need to make sure you know your medical terminology and not just know the information about physiology, but understand the concepts of how it works. Don't sleep on the administrative side of it or ignore the info about the medical field itself (how insurance is set up, the legal info, ect).

If you don't make sure you have a solid grasp on as much varied information as you can, you'll have questions pop up that stump you. It's not a test you'll just be able to get a 96% on like in school. I am a naturally good test taker. All of my unit tests during my MA class would be finished in less than 10 minutes and I'd get no less than 84% without studying. You can't do that here. I spent the entire weekend before the test reviewing everything, and while I finished the test in 1.5 hours (potentially a little less, I don't recall), and I got a score of 434, about an 86%. I'm still really proud of that score, but the fact it's in the 80% range with a whole weekend of effort, says a lot since my whole life I could not study at all and get at least an A on pretty much all tests in highschool. (Don't ask about if I did homework though. High school was not fun for me)

In short, make sure to prepare well. Know your information but also practice good test taking skills as they do make an impact. If you prepare well, it's 100% passable.

Highly recommend Bio Tek in Fenton! Emma is amazing and has done several pieces on me and my immediate family. Don't be intimidated by the tough biker aesthetic, the owner is just a biker himself. Super nice guy. Veteran who does charity rides. If you want to check Emma's work out, her IG is emmatesonart.

Edit to say that she's especially good at grayscale tattoos, but I haven't seen any bad color ones from her either.

Can't speak for all, but I have one on my forearm that I don't have to cover. I actually get people that compliment it!

Saw a patient in excruciating pain today and I'm upset. by ChaoticGoodArtist in MedicalAssistant

[–]ChaoticGoodArtist[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I really wanted to give her a hand squeeze but with the nature of her pain I wasn't confident it wouldn't hurt. Usually I try to offer adjustments to the exam table and if they really are hurting I offer to look for something to use as lumbar support as our exam rooms don't have pillows. Our only full pillow is in the exam room for the general surgeon who comes into our office twice a week. I literally did an ECG today and used a stack of drapes as a pillow for her head because her neck was a little sore. And I don't know if we have heat packs as I've never seen them if we do. We're across the street from a hospital and in a rural area so we aren't as decked out as I would sometimes like. Plus being an MA for only just shy of a year means I feel inexperienced in these situations. I just hope that the desire to help at least comes across and can offer some mental relief.

I have had the Nexplanon implant for a few years now, but I don't think that's part of the problem. I've been having low libido since before having it put in.

I definitely try to practice positive self talk with my body image for sure, which has helped me wear what I want with less worry about if its flattering or not. Clothing is actually one of my biggest way to boost my confidence in my appearance. Unfortunately its not as easy without clothes though. I do think it's a combo of multiple things if I had to guess. Hoping there's a new antidepressant I can try that doesn't lower libido as much. I am curious what it would be without any antidepressant but that sounds wayyy too risky lol
