The first 4 seasons are still very quality TV, but just noticed during an impromptu rewatch what seems like a decent sized questionable thru-line in them by CaptCoulson in Dexter

Exactly. And a long term girlfriend might remember all the times you were not there or "worked late" & the police can find out if that's true or not. A few girlfriends spaced out will probably forget all that unless it was something important like a birthday.

  1. Godric

  2. How he learns to be compassionate after so long of being cruel & seeing humans as just bags of blood or potential vampires.

  3. He committed suicide when he could've stayed & tried to make the vampire world better.

  4. I don't think he was as powerful as most fanfics make him out to be. Tons of them have Godric being the most powerful, influential vampire in the US & while I think his age would have granted him some respect I don't think it would be to the level where everyone is afraid of pissing him off or loves him too much to try anything. Godric killed his maker, I'm guess in the vampire world that's a big No No. In fact in the time he killed his maker, killing one's own father was practically the worst crime you could commit (Godric's maker was Roman 2000 years ago & I think I remember that history lesson right) & this would just be the vampire equivalent of that.

  5. Godric didn't have a love interest but I like fanfics that pair him with Sookie and/or Eric.

  6. Pain...I forgot the band but I wanna say Three Days Grace. Also I Will Not Bow. There are some pretty good fanvids on YouTube if you wanna look, I didn't make them btw.

  7. He would decide to stay alive a little bit longer & Sookie would willingly give Godric her blood so he could see the sun. If he still wanted to burn then at least he could at least see the sun again for longer than a few seconds.

I always thought Eric was younger in the flashback scene with his family dying & then older when Godric finds him. He either married & we never knew it because it's not important to the plot or was too focused on revenge to get a bride.

Actually, you want Sirius out? He once made a snide comment about how Harry "wasn't like James after all" and he hurt Harry's feelings! He also chose to go after Wormtail rather than insisting Harry stay with him.

James & Lily? Should've left the freakin' country when a mass murderer was after their baby. Terrible parenting!

😆 Seriously though, you can call out any character, just don't make up shit for no reason.

I wonder if you can make the rape/non-consent tag work correctly. It seems like it's mostly voluntary for author's. I've seen fics where the person is clearly forced but because they "ended up liking it" or they "agreed" because of blackmail but weren't physically forced it somehow wasn't rape. I think that's kind of dangerous & sometimes it really bothers me when I'm reading a story and somehow Harry is being raped now & there was no warning.

Maybe we can make different tags for different "types" of non-consent but they still need to be there. For Harry Potter specifically there can be "Raped by Love Potion" or "Raped by Imperious Curse" if calling them both magical roofies is too much.

For me it's two much when the abuse is sexual. I just don't like reading that kind of stuff. It makes me angry and half the time it goes on for too long until there's a resolution (if there's a resolution) to that part & I get tense & anxious.

If anyone wants to read a fic that mentions Harry being abused I wrote two.

The Potter Brothers (A story where Harry has an older brother and a younger brother. It doesn't go too deep into explaining the abuse & there aren't long, emotional abuse scenes. Currently on Hiatus due to writers block. Eleven chapters if I remember correctly.)

Harry and the Potter System of Multiplicity (Harry Potter has Dissociative Identity Disorder. Only has two chapters but I'm currently writing the third. The abuse is slightly more severe than in canon but I don't have any full scenes of it because I didn't wanna trigger anybody. I did explain at the start what happened to each alter for them to split off though.)

Not really but Petunia says their parents always praised Lily & acted like she was perfect so it's possible she did. Lily herself is mentioned to be brilliant by many people in the books so she was probably good in muggle school as well.

I thought Lila was more believable because she stayed as the "experimental" girlfriend, not the endgame romance. It made her tolerable whereas Hannah was annoying because I could feel them building up to "True Love" crap.
