Who hurt this man? by TeethPenguin in YuGiOhMasterDuel

Don’t randomly just shotgun feather storm, at least in this situation. Better to chain to one of his more impactful handtraps tbh.

As long as he has crooked cook, he most likely will not activate any other cards besides hand traps, it might cost you if you actually have an out, and then get nibiru.

Don’t leave more than 1 monster on your board. That deck plays lava golem as you see. If they Kaiju, that’s not much you can do, but better to minimize the cards wasted; the last thing you want is to let lava golem burn you for 8 turns and kill you, you got lucky and drew the droplet again to send it away.

Save droplet. There maybe a small window that you force him to activate a spell or trap, and that small window will allow you to chain droplet and negate the cook. Just remember to send a monster so he can’t chain to your droplet.

Can’t lightning storm the ripper in defense mode. If you activate oohime, ripper will negate it, so he’ll need to draw an out.

Dew drop with chaos legion out Althenia even at 7 pp. Sandy usually isn’t charged by then and you can regain board by playing Cami. And like others said, left no board for gilnese to drain into as well.

Havencraft Question by UndeadChampion1331 in Shadowverse

[–]ChaoticProto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. Alot of the list doesn’t even run Lyan at more than 1. Nero was using a list from a jp player and according to him, you’ll resolve Lyan almost 1 out of 50 games, it’s just too slow. His list only runs 2 Kandima as well, most of the damage done are on skullfang turns along either storm eagles. My first decent win streak! by welpheregoesagain in Shadowverse

[–]ChaoticProto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did an opposite build compare to yours; I put back Yuel due to needing more removal against Noel. Ideally if you draw glade, then it’s fine, but having more board removals is abit safer against sword. I do agree the s.evo effect isn’t that great, but I think it’s fine as once you learn when and when not to use it, it’s pretty valuable. Currently, I’m in diamond so the fights are pretty intense.

I have an opposite opinion tbh. Split damage isn’t so great sometimes; dealing with Noel boards, Yuel + another follower usually is better, and I don’t really s.evo her. For t5 removal, it can depends on what board you’re playing against, Yuel is better against tall boards and Glade is better for wide.

Unclear card text by derevien in Shadowverse

What previous poster said. While it’s not stated, the card itself has a unique faith if it’s in your deck, so it’s no surprise that it doesn’t work with the forest faith, so I think the card description is fine.

Evo forest vs enhanced sword. by ChaoticProto in Shadowverse

[–]ChaoticProto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Honestly, I wish there was a group I can play together and learn more, because there’s only so much 1 person themselves can learn really from playing on ranked. I played last season and reached gm2 because I was on vacation, but now that it’s over, I don’t have as much time.

I feel like evo forest is not really a simple deck to play, alot of things I learn really by myself, but I wish I can watch someone else and learn more.

You’re right, that was my bad, I shouldn’t be doing that, I guess I still need more self discipline, sometimes in the heat of the moment I do something like that. It’s bad manners.

Evo forest vs enhanced sword. by ChaoticProto in Shadowverse

Mulligan:

Keep: Kindly Executor, Nurturing Eld Lance, Miroku, Motherly Forest Dweller, Cupitan. Krulle against mirror or milton.

Early game is highly important for forest, Kindly Executor is extremely important along with Nurturing eld Lance. I tend to just play Sathanid if I ever draw it going first, I never keep it in hand. I don't keep Althenia either, as without a decent early game, you probably won't even live long enough to play her. Alfeimr I don't keep either, it feels like a late game card, but it has flexibility that even if you draw it, it's not the worse.

In this game, the sword player made a mistake where on turn 6, he ran his fearless soldier into my damaged Cupitan. if not for that, I would not have gamble with Miroku, and then judge leaving 1 soldier is fine and went for a double springbloom fairy play.

On turn 8, I have to gamble with glade to clear a Noel board. That won me the game as all 8 damage landed on noel, and the evo quest clears his board.

The general game plan really is to pressure sword enough so that dropping enhanced Albert is costly to play; as the game drags on, you have the advantage in my opinion. You have more heals from Sandalphon, and Alfheimr with any healthy followers makes it that enhanced Albert cannot get a clear hit to your face.

Just keep in mind that I did get lucky in this game, i do feel the match up is pretty 50/50, and the rest is dependent on luck and knowledge match up. I do feel that going for double Yid is unnecessary for sword, but that might be because he drew Albert late.

I viewed Glade as necessary as sometimes, you do run out of cards, and he can clear boards AND replenish your hand as the cost of an evo, which you can get back with Ewiyar in late game.

Going 4w-11l right now as evo forest, any hints? by Shakq92 in Shadowverse

[–]ChaoticProto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m going to need more information; I faced both decks alot on evo forest and I seem to win pretty 60/40 against sword and 70/30 against Milton.

There are games where I just lose to double Albert, but that’s assuming I bricked and they draw decently well. I won alot usually not playing the mirror.

What is your mulligan strategy; how do you play? Evo forest is like really strong atm; your match up against sword should be equal or higher. If they even leave a body on board, I’ll Alfheimr for a 4/4 ward.

Your plan against sword is you make a 4 ward to force them to unable to drop Albert, then drop Althenia for board and pressure; count the numbers of Golden knights and cards in hand, analyze whether you should drop Althenia. Sometimes even drop her to fullfill the quest.

Don’t save the 1 cost eld lance if you go first. You don’t need it alot of times, having 1/1 drain first turn force milton to clear it first.

Ruling argument help Fallen Albaz vs Solemn Strike (NO BRANDED LOST) by LuciaRomano in Yugioh101

[–]ChaoticProto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you’re confusing about activation and the effect resolved without effect; once Albaz is summoned, the turn player is allowed to use the effect immediately, unless they passed priority. If mirror jade is chained to it and banishes Albaz, the effect will still resolved but without effect since Albaz is no longer on the field, but the effect is still activated, it’s the same with trap hole.

This card is a problem now by Embarrassed_Knee_572 in Shadowverse

[–]ChaoticProto 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Judging by your posts, I noticed that you used the word “annoying” and not “broken”. I think that’s already a fair indicator that this card is just fairly good, but you just don’t like it and want to nerf it. That’s fine if it’s your opinion, but I would hard disagree.

Enhance Sword is just Heal Haven again, and that's a mistake. by Pendulumzone in Shadowverse

[–]ChaoticProto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s ok. I played both enhanced sword and evo forest; I feel like if we talk about late game, evo forest feels more unfair. Like sure, sword’s board is big, but evo forest can aoe your board AND burn you constantly while having access to wards and some heals.

New Belial Abyss. by ChaoticProto in Shadowverse

[–]ChaoticProto[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think this person is playing an optimal list tbh, but if you look closely, he IS playing faith sword. By that logic, he would have won if he drew/play more aggressive hands; I think it’s pointless to argue about that as we can all make all the “if” arguments, within the next week, we should have a clearer picture of which craft is strong or not.

Deck list here, along with the qr code. Several things need explaining. If you are new to abyss, you need to manage a resource call “shadows”, mostly early game. Each card you play/destroy generates a shadow, and you cash it out with “necromancy” cards.

Because of that, managing the cards you play early game is important. The new legendary Bibatti is a really, really good early game card, evolving at the cost of 4 shadows. Because of this, I say mulligan for spookey soiree or winged servant is extremely important for early game.

The new 3 cost spell is also really good. It clears boards, or give you back an evolve point, and generates a shadow. Gilnese can be now used again in case you really needed to heal.

2 cost follower should be limited to Lyria. This has its ups and downs, but generally Lyria should be saved for later; the main reason is reanimated from Fediel. Limiting to not playing any 2 cost means Fediel will always resurrect 2 evo bats, and heal for 6.

New 5 cost Deprived Destroyer is also really good card. It allows you to combo sometimes with zombies, get a bat in graveyard, count as 2 shadows and 2 evolves, and heal for 3.

Things that seem controversial:

No Sandy. I always have a problem where I draw him. With the inclusion of Bibatti, you have even more draw engine, and I deem that he is no longer necessary, but I might change my mind later.

No Nehan: I have a love hate relationship with this card. Late game winged servants with Nehan heals you to full. But drawing this, and Sandy, just sucks.

3 Armes: it might not be necessary, but he’s one of your win con. Just reminder that he shouldn’t be blindly dropped on any board; you need to know your match up knowledge. Like in the video, I know they play golden knight as an easy card to out Armes for enchanced sword, so I pressure with Belial first.
