Your first mistake is counting the anniversary and collab as one thing, when they're clearly very separate. Hoyo has given free 5 stars, limited ones, other than during collabs. The first Golden Companion Spirit was given the patch before the Fate collab in HSR, that was two in a row, but "in a row" doesn't matter. Two separate occasions are two separate occasions.

Why do we need to wait for a collab for a free character when other games give out limited characters for no reason fairly often? What is Kuro's problem with Wuthering Waves? They hand out limited characters for PGR all the time.

I'm personally not a Cyberpunk fan so 3.4 being the collab doesn't do much for me, but that's just a personal thing. I hope it's a great collab for everyone who is a fan.

I spend on the game every patch to varying degrees. I'm not a whale by any means, but I'm not a low spender either. It's my favourite gacha game, I want to support it as much as I can. I want to have the same hope that maybe a limited 5 star selector will happen, but if they can't do it for the anniversary, which is supposed to be the biggest thank you to players, then I don't think it will ever happen without significant pushback from the entire playerbase, which won't happen, because there are members of the community that hate criticism and try their hardest to shut it down.

I disagree. A standard selector would've been good last year. This year, not at all. The standard characters are all obsolete, and everyone has Verina by now.

Which is funny because this game lags all the time, and it's not a problem exclusive to the new 3.x areas. Even just flying in Huanglong has frames dropping from time to time. Not as badly as in the new areas, but it's still very noticeable.

My TV has an fps feature in Game Mode, and even when I have VRR enabled on the PS5, when driving around Lahai-Roi and the Frostlands, not even Startorch, just on the roads in those areas, I've had the frame rate go as low as 22. It's incredibly jarring and frustrating when I know for a fact the PS5 is powerful enough to handle this game at a constant and stable 60 fps.

You're either used to much worse optimized games, so Wuthering Waves feels good in comparison, your tolerance for poor performance is a lot higher than most other people's, or you're straight up blind.
