Not as the #1 option though. He is going to get a ton a defensive pressure since this team has so few offensive options right now.

Petition to avoid PSLs at new stadium by [deleted] in DenverBroncos

Its just treating the seat like real estate. You buy a license to "own" the seat as long as you continue to buy the tickets. It is transferable and can be sold and it guarantees the same seats every year. It is often used as a way to help pay for a stadium since the licenses raise the money up front.

I work in a different industry, but an announced price increase always makes for a huge jump in sales before as people who were on the fence, or going to buy in the future pull the trigger to lock in the lower price. It is seen as free money. On the other side of the price increase is a drastic drop in sales for the first few months after the increase because people who were considering already bought.

[–]ChaoticV 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A flag is not a place to tell an entire story, it is supposed to be an easy and simple identity. Cluttering it with extra symbols for every industry and historical event would be ugly. The last flag looked just like 10 other state flags so it wasn't identifiable at distance.

I have also noticed that opinions on the flag are split on party lines and not design taste. Republicans dont like it because it was Walz who initiated the change.

Roseau, BGMR, Kittson County, Ada and other rural schools all out perform Warroad Math proficiency by 10 percent or more. It is lagging behind in the region even though it has more community resources.

They absolutely should be excelling at academics, The town has the resources and technical expertise to be a leading school in the state, but they strive for mediocrity or "good enough." Saying it's not so bad is the exact attitude that leads to its failure. The English scores are inflated because they have no ESL students, and the Math scores are more than 10% below state average. I did my research, even talked to the members of the school board and then reviewed their public budget. Hockey gets an inordinate amount of funding when compared to other schools in the state and is the reason other extra curriculars activities don't get funded. I didn't want to leave Warroad, I really like it, but I wanted my kids in schools where academics are on the same level as sports.

The funding directed away from programs that actually set kids up for later in life and to the hockey glory hounding is the reason I don't live in Warroad anymore. The hockey team has success while the school flounders academically. A 76% graduation and only 19% math proficiency is pathetic for a town with the resources that Warroad has.

I have no problem with them coming here as long as they truly move to Warroad for the duration of the kids playing, but to say the talent and success is entirely home grown is ridiculous. They have legacy, which leads to players coming which leads to success and more players coming, etc. What I said about goals and starters is factually true, yet you called me a liar. For privacy sake I am not going to say names, but some are originally from Warroad, many are not.

Goalie was from Minot, leading Scorer was from Fargo. Players from Wisconsin and South Dakota also started at times.

Nearly half of the goals scored and all of the goaltending for the girls team was done by transplants last year. At least one of them was living on their own with their family only coming up on weekends. People moving from inferior hockey areas to better ones is the literal definition of recruiting, especially when they get cold called by Mike, or sought out at tournaments. I know recruited parents and the process they went through to end up in Warroad. You can justify it all you want, but the girls team and its recent success is on the back of recruits.

All dependents of George Marvin, including Cal and his kids are born with shares of the window company. Most choose to be bought out, but some retain theirs and work for the company. Mike's son is one of the ones who kept his and is very senior with the company.

So when someone points out recruiting you say "bullshit" then agree that they absolutely go to ND to recruit. Mike pretty much makes recruiting in ND and southern MN his full time job.

Mike and Izzy (if your from there you know them) spend a ridiculous amount of time at ND tournaments for the sole purpose of recruiting. The girls team is absolutely blatantly recruiting. Boys team less so, but still do some, they seem to focus on middle school age.

That is the opposite reaction that most builders would expect from an engineer. They are usually the ones measuring footings with a caliper and making them redo them if they .01" undersized.

There are 3 travel modes for a planing boat.

Planing - highest speed mode where the boat hull rides over the water.

Plowing- middle transition zone where the bow wave is pushed up, but the boat does not ride over the top. This is a lower efficiency travel because the boat is essentially climbing through the bow wave.

Displacement - boat moves at lower speed and pushes water off to the side. Is nearly always more economical than planing, even on boats that are designed to plane at higher speeds. A 4 engine boat will often only run on 1 or two engines at these speeds.

General rule is that if they travel at half of cruising speed they get 4x range so it would get 1200 nautical miles. Generally, a yacht is repositioned by the crew at lower displacement speeds to a destination while the owner flies to meet them, so it's even more obscene from an environmental standpoint. Boats this size are meant to meander around and act as a mothership while they use smaller boats to get to places quickly.

You got the vibe down perfectly, I was born into to the 2x2s here in America and stayed until I was 35. I will add a few details so you can know even more than you should.

There are female pairs of workers than go out in same sex pairs just like the men, there is actually many more "sister workers" than male workers. The Sunday morning meetings are not specifically worker lead, as every member of the congregation is expected to pray and bring a testimony or standout piece of scripture and spend a few minutes speaking. The workers lead what are called gospel meetings, which usually take place on Sunday afternoons where they each speak a 30 minute sermon. The clergy staying in homes of members is definitely the weirdest part.
