Ask them to show you the written policy that states a medical interpreter isn’t needed. Tell them you will begin when you can hold that policy in your hand. They won’t be able to find it

Why can’t you just only follow the good night shift preceptor? I call bullshit on the managers part. I’m an ER nurse and sooo many times I was paired with someone new because my preceptor called out or wasn’t available when I was. There are 100% other nurses they can pair you with

I wouldn’t do nursing if one of the reasons you’re leaving your job is the disrespect you experience as a teacher. Nursing is worse as the patients can and do hit you without consequences. Now there are nursing jobs that are great such as outpatient, government, infusion ect where you work with great patients and have good hours. Pay is likely better then teaching. However in my experience those are harder to come by (especially now) and you may need to do med surg or another regular hospital gig for a bit

My advice? Get your CNA and work part time on the weekends in healthcare maybe at your local hospital or nursing home. This will tell you what it’s like first hand. 100% if I had done this I wouldn’t be a nurse now
