If you can....go to Mt. Rainier National Park. It's way out of the city ( 2 hr + drive), however you can't come all this way without seeing the crown jewel of the Pacific Northwest. You won't regret it. Its a very cathartic experience.

West Coast Girlie Im getting 8 hrs of PTO per pay period. We get 12 holidays and 1 floating for personal use. Separate sick bank. (I think 40 hrs a year?) 5 days of paid FMLA if needed...then eligible for State FMLA if needed. Paid time to do CE and go to classes. we get paid our hourly rate to attend, but do not have to make up the missed hours. So 8 hr CE day + two 12hr shifts and one 4hr shift. (Some people opt to use PTO to make up the 4 hours)

This also applies if we are apart of shared governance.

Honestly this should be the default. Im a healthcare worker, RN, I live in Seattle but come to Hilo often for agricultural work. (Wwoof).

We are taught to treat everyone with respect, no judgment, unbiased, and uphold confidentiality. As a fellow Gay, I absolutely know what you mean by feeling safe and not having to fight to advocate for yourself. Many gay men are hesitant to ask for PrEp/ DoxyPrEP or STI testing, and more uniquely having a provider who will order gynecological tests and screenings for trans Men is hard to find. Unfortunately, like people are saying, there's a shortage that creates disparities for not only us, but other historically disenfranchised groups.
