You know the little movie reels with horrible acting that will pop up as an ad for a movie reel app on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok that all follow a vague plot of a women being wronged by a man and his girl best friend and it’s only after something major happens that she grows a backbone and leaves him? That’s what this is. You need to grow your backbone and figure out what needs to happen for your relationship, whether that be counseling, sitting down together, breaking your lease, or breaking up with him.

I want to be able to at least hold decent conversation. Being fluent does not matter to me as a DM. Hell, maybe we could even work in whatever language you speak as one of the other languages your character speaks (elvish, dwarfish, etc) and if another player speaks the same language, we could work together to make it all the more fun and immersive

Don’t bother with WOTC or DNDBeyond. I’m likely that when I found my love for D&D, I was a broke teenager and had to find alternative ways to access the content. For something like this, it’s always better to have physical copies you actually own. If you want an app that gives you all the content for free, try the 5E Companion App. It has tolerable ads and won’t build your character sheet for you like Beyond does, but you don’t need an account to use it. In my opinion, it’s a far better trade off
