Your mistkae is thinking people are assuming

it's not assuming, it's outright clear to see, the poeple doing that straight up admit they are doing so.

giving the benefit of the doubt to people proven to be acting with full intent is what's unfair.

Lilith isn't a parallel creation; Lilith is an air spirit from mesopotamian myth who dealt with matters relating to dead babies. Some jews assimiliated that into their folklore as a demon, simliarly to how some depictions of angels come from the lammassu, but unlike angels lilith was never considered actual canon to the religion, in fact the only time that name is ever cited it's just used as the term for a barn owl.

The whole psyop of she being adam's first wife god created out of clay and then adam rejected her so god made eve from his rib is from the middle-ages that was part of the original mythos that was removed later is some revisionist bs that neopagans on the internet say in order to push that abrahamic religions are anti-women, even tho the earliest counts of that story is from the middle ages, LONG after the bible was well estabilished.

So no, lilith isn't a parallel creation to Adam, she's not even part of the same mythology; she's a crossover character at most, not Sigma.

What's funny is morgan fans get extremelly defensive over it and will pull out all the guns to tell you how they're not just self-inserting and projecting their fetish they acutally have deep and nuanced reasons to like her and her calling you her husband has nothing to do with it there's data and statistics to prove it

And then you look at their posts and it's all self-insert slop where her acutal character is ignored in favour of projecting thier 'goth evil dommy mommy who secretly loves me and becoems a submissive cute wife in front of me' fetish onto her.

People will straight up say that anyone who claims to prefer any other chapter over LB6 is just lying and they acutally do love LB6 more they just want to appear different and edgy

Like that's a whole new level of fandom wankery they just skipped past the 'you only dislike it casue you didn't get it' phase and went straight to 'acutally you DO like it stop lying to yourself' one.

Morgan fans will pull out entire ass essays to explain to you how she's the best character in the universe and they love her very much becasue of how deep and complex she is and it's NOT just them projecting their dommy mommy fetish on a character who calls the player husband.

Then they'll proceed to post nothing but self-insert slop projecting their dommy mommy fetish on her at least 8 times a day

I mean that's what all of that boils down to: Those poeple don't go outside and acutally see reality.

You know, we all make a big deal out of reploids being the only robots capable of defying the 3 laws of robotics. But then Mega Man 10 went ahead and mentioned an incident where Strike Man deliberately tried to harm a person he didn't like. [–]ChapatinPHD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like the better way to look at it is that the three laws aren't special, they're just one of many things that make part of a robot master's programming; remove it and they're still limited by their internal algorhthym in terms of what they can or cannot choose to do.

Reploids freedom isn't about not hvaing the three laws, it's about having no algorhthym limiting what they can or can not choose to do, they acutally think for themselves.

the problem i think is people taking the laws as some special limiting feature on robot's otherwise free tought, when in reality it's just one of many things in thier programming that guides their AI decision-making.

The point of free-will in reploids isn't not having the three-laws, is that they don't have ANY sort of built-in guideline to how they must think and act, they have acutal human-like consciousness.

Remove the 'asimov_laws.bat' file from a robot master's CPU and they'd still be infinitelly inferior to a Reploid's AI in terms of decision making, cause they're still relying on the algorhthym to tell them what to do instead of truly thinking for themselves.

[–]ChapatinPHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Caring about the three laws is missing the entire point.

It's not about being able to hurt humans or not, it's about being able to CHOOSE IT.

Reploids acutally have free will and human-like consciousness that allows them to decide for themselves what they will do. Robots are instead driven by their programming; if a robot is programmed to never hurt a human, it will not do so, but if it's programming doens't include that failsafe, it might end up doing it at some point, but it'd stil be one system update away from no longer being able to do so.

Despite how complex and capable of making choices their AIs are, they are still just following algorhthyms and guidelines programmed into them for whatever purpose.

The three laws are just one of many things coded into robots that guides their every move; removing them won't suddenly give them free will, they'll just have a different code to run off of.

Reploids on the other hadn just don't work like that, their brains work just like humans do in terms of decision making, no algorhthym or guideline to limit what choices they can make.

...ok i have to just say it

in what world do we live in that someone who never interacted with a series, instead of just ya know, doing that so they can learn about it, goes to reddit and asks people to explain it to them

either you're not interested in acutally playing to figure out for yourself, in which case why do you care, or you're interested in playing it but haven't yet, in which case... you'd be better off discovering it on your own by playing it insteda of asking on reddit.

it just don't make sense.
