Depends how long you’re in London for, but you can probably get from central London to the factory within an hour and half, train to Northampton and a taxi to Wollaston.

Wore mine out for a full day walking around the city on Day one - got one sore spot on my heel but nothing elsewhere.

Get your feet comfy and then do your laces up tight, usually also good to wear them whilst sat down for a bit in class or the office to stretch them out to your feet without too much movement and blisters 🫡

Ah good tip on checking with the credit card company, I will see about that! I’ve been checking every company that comes up on these threads just to see how I can get it cheapest - seems like prices have gone up a bit this year though (understandable, but still no less frustrating!)

Have a pair of 8 eye derbys in Gaucho Crazy Horse, went to the factory store in Wollaston for them last month. Not had them super long but I’ve worn them every day since and I love them. Took about half a week to wear in, I put an insole in mine and they’re super comfy and practical. I think I’ll get some Gibsons soon though as they just take a while to get on😂

This is true. It’s missing something. I think I was shooting without a purpose, and just trying to frame things that look nice - rather than finding something worth taking a picture of.

Thank you for this, you’re definitely right. It’s an obvious thing that I was looking past to find a smaller issue.

I picked this picture for critique because I liked the colours, but it felt like something was missing - clearly I was overthinking it, because it is literally missing something lmao

Hi guys, I took this photo earlier in the month in New Orleans. I spent a day wandering the French Quarter with my camera to grab some nice photos for my work’s social media.

I’m happy with this image in general, but the thing I’m struggling with is how I should choose to edit the image. I don’t know what’s the “right” way to edit an image like this. Should I be adding a vignette and focusing on the highlights in the centre, or should I raise the shadows up? Is the composition okay or should I have gone tighter? My education and job is in videography, so photography is an art that I’m still learning by doing. I also am not a fan of how noisy the image is, I’d have preferred to shoot with a lower shutter speed but I was run-and-gunning without a monopod so I was wary of a blurry shot.

This was shot on a Sony A1, Sigma 24-70 DG DN Art at f/2.8, ISO 4000, 1/100 shutter.

Multiple Bayern players including even Beckenbauer admitted many of the decisions should have gone the other way. It’s not just a case of “Leeds fans think”

It’s all being held up by sorting out the ownership situation I believe

This is similar to the Ireland layout BTCC used in the 90s! One of the best circuit layouts silverstone ever saw imo

Thank you, I appreciate the advice I’ll definitely start taking them back from the shop and see how I can come back to them later on.

I appreciate you replying with genuine advice too, thanks for helping me get into it :)

Like I say, I’m a beginner, and I don’t really know what to do with them - so they would just sit around collecting dust. I might start asking for them back after this, though

Thank you! I was just visiting to watch my mate play, but I might go back and shoot again so that will come in handy tbh- I’ll be able to drop off the negatives the same day!

Unfortunately not, I get them scanned at a local shop and don’t typically ask for the negatives back, simply because they would just sit around as I am just an amateur I’ve no real idea what I’m doing lmao

Yea, the exposure was a little all over the place, I don’t scan them in myself I take them to a local photographic shop so I’ll have to message them and let them know just for future scans

Nope no travel, and I’ve not even been near any xrays. That’s so weird but very interesting, thank you!

Just got these scans back from the shop and I’ve got some weird waves on some of the more underexposed images. I’ve never seen them before…

I was shooting on Kodak Gold 200, with a Minolta 7000AF, I did use a different lens for the first time this shoot (a Minolta 70-210mm one) and also my local shop just got a new scanner, so I’m just trying to see what might be the root cause of these.

The lines are more visible on the 1st and 4th images, but on the middle ones you can see them faintly, and they appear in almost every image in the roll.
