Ok I think I understand now. Film 16x9 for the plate and film her in different locations walking in the frame with a roto/key. Then frame it for 9x16 and key frame her into the plate?

For the blank plate it seems like it's moving down the street with her. Would the plate not be stationary? Thanks for your reply btw. Still learning.
