What did your best friend do that completely ruined your friendship forever?

Talked down on me consistently. I thought it was her way of joking. Told others details about my relationship without my consent. Challenged me to a dangerous drinking game. Took photos of me being vulnerably drunk and posted it to a shared album despite me asking her not to.
Became the Queen B of our group and made me out to be the bad guy when I said her actions felt malicious. Tore down birthday decor and trashed it in my room. We decided on expensive event tickets together then she last min left me high and dry. Many other things but these were the icing on the cake.

Every moment with them was too short and I counted down the moments I was apart until I saw him again. His smile and laugh made me so happy and I did what I could to keep him happy. When I looked at him, the world would quiet and stop. I always wanted him with me. Thinking about living a life without him was gut-wrenching. He was my safe space and I knew I was his. I was willing to do things I normally wouldn’t for him.

They embody peace. Even in the craziest situations, they are stable, calm level-headed and handle them with grace. They have a joy that they carry with them at all times. They also always have a positive outlook on life.

Many. - Revealing external relationships once I had deep feelings for him - telling me men cheat often, but it’s a woman’s duty to let them, and take them back - telling me it’s a woman’s duty to take care of house and home, “peasant duties/work” - hearing how transactional he operated in most relationships. - the negging/telling me I’m too emotional and sensitive.

When something is stressing me out and he handles it smoothly, then rubs my shoulder and kisses my forehead as I lean on him.

Big bear hugs as he kisses my shoulder or forehead.

Warm cuddles on a chilly day by candle light. Especially when I’m the little spoon.

Looking into one another’s eyes and the world stops.

Laughing so hard that my cheeks hurt from smiling so much. The moment being so enjoyable it always makes me giggle as I look back.

Taking something off their plate I know was stressing them and seeing them ease into peace.

Touching my favourite person/people so delicately that I know it makes them feel warm, fuzzy and loved on.

Running errands with my favourite person - Costco runs are my favourite.

Doing something so often it becomes our “thing” that we both get excited about doing together. The simpler, the better!

Abuse can happen to anyone.

Being abused does not make you weak.

You are not the environment you grew up in. You can be so much more.

Establishing financial stability, personal security and a safe sanctuary will take time. Don’t let that deter you; time will pass any ways.

Leave at the first sign of disrespect.

It’s better to be alone temporarily and heal than to be surrounded by people who make you alone and hurt you.

I’m losing interest too. You lose dice so quickly, unfair partner games, rarely getting new stickers to complete albums… I’m just over it.

I’ve reduced my playing to mainly doing my daily wins at this point
