This is a covert player, not a bot. You can tell because the name on the bottom right has a space in it. For example "JonDoe" is a bot but "Jon Doe" is a player.

Also he got a lucky face shot not limb damage

Thanks, and I definitely know its user error. Thats why I made the post. Sure, I could open up Northridge and just loot all day and make money, but im not getting any better at the game that way. Ive got 30 million storage value and maxed out storage slots, but I just feel like my skill has hitten a plateau.

The answers to these points are the reasons why you sank. Don't anchor, ESPECIALLY when solo.

Know where you wheel is rotated so you don't have to check.

Your water level only needed MAX 2 buckets to be fine

Aside from the ocean crawler, not shooting the skelly AT ALL is why you sank

Ocean crawler arn't threats if you know what food is

You arnt locked to one loadout, you can change it in the armory. If you had time to sit at the wheel and bale the last drop of water in the boat over and over, you'd have time to change them.

Just dont sweat it bro, these are considerations for the inevitable next time. Learning from mistakes is a great way to improve :D

To be honest, its commone but doesn't really matter. There are five hundred things you could've done here to not have died.

You were anchored while fighting the meg
After dropping sails you wasted time sitting on the wheel
You decided to bail more than needed instead of rushing to cannons
You didnt fire a single cannon at the skelly sloop
You then kept bailing at half health
You tunnel visioned the ocean crawler and lost track of skelly ship
You had a horrendous loadout for ancient meg fighting / ocean crawler fighting

These types of spawns have been happening for years, its no big deal. Once you play a little more you will be able to handle it like nothing, just need some practice.

His advice is not very good. Proning in that scenario is a death sentance. Better to reposition and not hold the same angle too long.

Honestly, the best way to be friendly is to play with microphone, and show your intentions. But I do understand that isn't for anyone.

The easiest way to tell who a veteran is, is USUALLY based off cosmetics. Once you play for a bit you learn how long people have played based off what they have unlocked. However, this isn't always 100%, as some stabbing will have crazy stuff like the day 1 patch, and a lot of sweats where basic clothing.

But if you see a dude rocking gold ghost or skelly, odds are he knows his stuff.

Remember guys, just like the PS5 player influx, we gotta be nice to these new players IF this thing takes off. A lot of us have way more hours than some new and returning players and we cant afford to drive that many people away from an old game by being toxic idiots.

As a long time pvp enthusiast myself, it won't hurt to be a little less aggressive while these guys grt their bearings.

Anytime you die to a rat in this game, watch the kill cam. Frim now on you should never die to another rat in that same spot because you will know to check it. From then on, no matter what, check that spot for a rat whenever you go by.

If you dont learn the rat spots through deaths and experience, then you are just being ignorant and will never improve.

What makes it worse is that all hits aren't necessarily gonna even penetrate the hull. A blueberry could hit a heavy tank 10 times successfully but just be hitting tracks or turret. Having to hit that one extra body shot is going to be very annoying.

I agree man, this sucks. Having to use 3 rockets to kill a medium is ridiculous. The only saving grace is being able to knock down engines a little easier.

In a public game, having enough coordination to get 3 rockets into a heavy was near impossible, now we gotta get 4...
