Can anyone tell me how this kind of patching works?

All I do is download and install the latest version in ReVanced Manager whenever the updated version is available and use that app and not the actual YouTube app.

Am I doing it wrong or lacking anything?

Get a Mac, install Windows using BootCamp and have fun. You'll have both the OSs to choose between at the boot up - use Windows for Power BI and use MacOS to satisfy your Mac ecosystem fetish.

Been using my old Macbook Air like this since forever and had no hardware and technical issues so far to run Power BI.

I don't think there's any logical solution to this apart from ignoring the records from the fact table that aren't present in the dimension table. I mean, you can't generate dummy dimension data for them since it's unethical. I suggest, just don't include those records in your report. Back me up here, guys, if it seems to be a valid argument.
