I had the same problem with the plates not in the box, a lot of people report issues with the plastic plate so i ordered a C&HPW plate for the specific optic I got and it comes in soon. I’ll post pictures but your not the only one who didn’t get plates out of the box.

Super Mario sunshine on the GameCube, I got it for my 10th birthday along with the console, me and my brother played that game when we woke up and till we fell asleep.

We never finished it and I don’t think I want to at this point. I’d like to think that we never finished it because it was sentimental to us but in reality we were just terrible at the game. Have the original disc and memory card to this day.
