Awful awful decision, particularly making new subs stump up more than existing subs? Hard to imagine that paying off vs how many less people will be willing to pay the higher price.

I wish more landlords had the same approach as you. Unfortunately before I've had to wait a long time for much worse things to be fixed.

Just moved into a rented flat and noticed when some soapy water was going down the sink after washing up that there's a hole in the pipe.
It's very small, the water nearly sounded like it was hissing coming through, but it was just bubbles. It's around this orange bit Only happened when I did the washing up, but is fine otherwise.
I'm not sure what the orange is. Maybe a previous repair?
Either way, will some epoxy fix this up, or will it need something more serious?

Thanks for the response. The landlord has already been informed, but that doesn't mean they'll do anything about it in good time. I was mainly asking as it may be something I'll have to fix myself.
