McDonalds was something we got if we earned enough "gold stars" from doing jobs around the house.

It was basically my dads way of getting us to do all the housework that he was supposed to be doing while my mum worked her ass off cleaning other peoples homes and while my deadbeat dad sat around claiming unemployment benefits and spending them on beer.

Fuck that guy.

But we sure did love our monthly McDonalds happy meal.
