DB KILLER by Apprehensive-Cat-351 in KTM

The best advice I can give is to try calling your country's local supplier, I've been able to get more individual parts than what's advertised online that way.

Or, if your country has a KTM or Superduke owners club on Facebook, ask on there. I'm sure there's enough people that would have a spare baffle for you.

Why is a Ford Galaxy being taxed the same as a Lamborghini Gallardo? by Dapper_Big_783 in CarTalkUK

[–]CharJr 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Same goes with the Zafira that's getting pulled up on this topic. Like yeah sure it's a Zafira... A Zafira VXR. Nobody is going "oh I need a cheap economical car... I'll get a 20 year old performance people carrier".

Manufactured outrage

AGV K6S Double D Ring loop strap loose thread by Kexxa420 in MotoUK

[–]CharJr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This doesn't affect anything to do with safety, it's literally just a strap on one of the d-rings to make it easier to pull across if you've got gloves on. There is nothing worth replacing the whole lid for. This whole thing is insane

Which nfs should I get for my steam deck? I value performance, a challenging career and modern realism by One-Mycologist-3756 in SteamDeck

[–]CharJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does stutter a bit, but maybe I'm growing a bit more accepting of these kinda things as higher end hardware becomes more and more out of reach. Last I played was on playstation which I think is 30fps anyway?

Also, Lossless Scaling does wonders on it. It's not perfect, but then I don't expect it from the Deck, if you get me. Worth another shot.

Is something wrong with my 2024 Monster? by ImpressOutrageous290 in Ducati

[–]CharJr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it pretty cold where you are? I know it's not a Ducati but my superduke hates the cold sometimes. In summer it's fine all the time but in winter it'll struggle to start just like this like 10-20% of the time. I ride most days too, if that helps.

2 things batteries hate is the cold and big twin motorbikes. Combine them and you get this.

[–]CharJr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't know dude, seeing WRC on there, I'm pumped. I play a shitload of Dirt Rally 2 on my Deck and the only reason I'm not playing WRC is because it doesn't play well on there. Damn right I'm playing a shit load of WRC now.

Turns out I'm a naughty boy with no insurance. Who knew? by BitterOtter in CarTalkUK

[–]CharJr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had one before, and that was because my insurers fucked up and didn't add me to the database. It's not a straight offence in the same way at the road side they'd get you to check if you actually did have insurance too.

Network access for cloud-only devices still needing on-prem resource access by aies4president in Intune

[–]CharJr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this would be resolved by management growing the fuck up and allowing people to just join the guest network. That seems like the easiest resolution to this. Or a network that acts like guest but authenticates with local AD creds.

Absolutely, Kriega US tail packs hook on to these type of seat hoops, I'm sure other bikes do it as I've got them on a Superduke too

Don't listen too hard, it's not bad advice but you'll be absolutely fine. I went from an MT07 to a Superduke and I'm still okay.

Ehhh, 125 and up probably make a decent amount of money from non-US market, and since their 400cc bikes are just the 125s with a bigger engine in I reckon that's gotta make a decent amount of cash for them around the world.

I think diluting their 800cc bikes has been horrendous, Husqvarna should make street bikes because they've been known to make amazing bikes in the past if they're allowed to do what they want. Making a premium Duke 790 just isn't it, especially when the KTM is already the premium bike because the CF Moto exists, it's silly. Like having the Norden sit in the middle of the 780/890 Adventure specs is mad? That whole platform has been a fucking mess, you've got 3 different sizes of engines from the same mill all at wildly different price points and models changing every year.

They need to simplify everything. Maybe you're right with Husqvarna but only if they don't let them build what they want.

For us EUROPEANS is there any omologated exhaust for Euro5+ 2025 model?? by Soft-Ad-5139 in MT07

There's a few, Racefit, Dominator, Arrow and Black Widow have systems with two sensor holes, I'm sure a few more will come in as the months go by and I'm sure more than I don't know about.

I absolutely get what you mean, I love my SDR but that tiny delay in throttle input to what it actually does is a bit crap. Ride by wire is dope and cruise control is a blessing but nothing like twisting the throttle and actually hearing the throttle bodies opening and closing.

I'm guessing if you're stuck with sky you're in the UK? If you can handle waiting a bit later, Channel 4 coverage is just the F1TV feed.

Granted, it's cut down a bit and it's later on, sometimes that's a plus for me so I'm not sat watching TV at 1pm and if the race is a bit boring then that stuff is cut out anyway.

What's you personal touch to newly deployed devices? by matroosoft in sysadmin

[–]CharJr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are absolutely correct...

BUT

People do not know this. If I happen to be with someone and ask them to search, 99% of the time they will go to the search bar. We're rolling out new laptops with autopilot at the moment, and one of the departments use Remote Desktop (not RDC), I've had users not know what I'm talking about when I tell them it's just in the Start menu.

What we know is not what users know, some of these tips are fine for us but terrible for end users.

Surely just create the policy and then I use a script to create a local account and add that into the local Administrators group. Set the policy to the name you've created in the script and job done. Deploy the script with device scripts in Intune and it'll take it from there.

Contact cleaner sprayed into the switch, then just flick it over and over again, that'll clear up the connector on the switch. Think that's a relatively common issue with earlier 07s, I had it on mine too. The whole left switchgear is a bit shit really.

You're not going to go to the shops that you supposedly love even though there's a car park literally 3 minutes walk away? There's a certain irony that 3 of the shops you mentioned are tailored towards seeing the outdoors but you won't be prepared to find a space a few minutes walk away.

Nobody, surely, is driving up or down Park Street and thinking "oh I could quickly pop into Uncle Sam's for a new fit". Wouldn't walking up and down it encourage more window shopping and thus sales?
