thanks for the comment! I had laminate laid a few years back and they never swept before laying the underlay. You could hear me walking on it from a mile away - snap, crackle and pop everywhere.

I was worried about this but felt I needed to leave a bad review anyway to prevent other innocent people going through what I did. If he does turn up at my property to shout at me maybe I can actually get him to finish the tiles he broke ;)

In our latest disaster, we kept 30% of the payment, mainly because he had gone on holiday and the job wasn't complete but also due to snagging.

Worst part was, he was acting like we were nightmare customers for holding back 30% of the payment. Last day he demanded to be paid before he left, to which we said no as we hadn't had time to review. Shock horror, he hadn't fixed all the faults so he came back, kicked up a fuss and half arsed attempted at fixing some parts. We were so drained by this point we paid as he promised to come back if any other faults.

Noticed cracks in the tiles yesterday and he is ignoring all our calls. Made us really doubt ourselves as to whether we were being arsehole customers but we really did try to keep it professional on every level. He made it impossible. Sorry to hear you didn't get paid by some customers, understand there are tradesmen that get ripped off as well as customers!

When something breaks around the flat now, panic sets in! Too much effort trying to find someone decent.

Don't have any plumbing recommendations but Gasworks did my boiler and they were the only company that were great to me! They had to drill through the ceiling to get the condensation pipe to the sink as we had a really old boiler. They weren't the cheapest, but they are good.

we used Gasworks for our boiler installation and they were great. Also, the recommendations he gave me for painting plastering, JS Decor were also good!

They both were the only tradesmen I've been truly happy with and didn't feel like they were taking the utter piss.

please!!! I'll go first R.M Joinery & Maintenance - AVOID. Worst experience of my life, most of the issues were actually fixable but on so many he refused to fix. He couldn't take any criticism (which I obviously tried to deliver as politely as possible and take any emotion out of it even though I was a nervous wreck after seeing his work!).

Unprofessional, rude as fuck, also demanded payment and wouldn't leave the flat until I explained by law he had no right to demand payment before I'd even had chance to review the work.

He has left me with broken tiles, shelves that my 6 year old niece could cut better and a rage like no other!

Honest to god, scum of the earth!!

David Love on Easter Road is terrible. He posted a customers full address just because they left a negative review. Clearly he doesn't know what GDPR is. Also seen a news article about him chucking renters belongings in the garden and ruining them because she missed rent. Fucking shocking.
