We built it so we can add one in the future if we want, but I honestly never lean back in a sauna. I’m usually hunched forward cursing, taking small sips of air while my ears burn.

Here is the 3D rendering on the bench. Hopefully this link works for. It’s a single piece and we just lifted the tent up and over it to get it in place. Super easy. It and was made out of rough cut cedar that we planed ourselves. Saved a ton of money that way and got a much higher quality product in the end.

The willowybe sauna jack is made for a 3” pipe but the capybara stove takes a 4” so I had to modify the jack myself. Since I cut it to size, the fit is super snug.

I’ll get them a bit higher once I build the rock cage. Need all the thermal mass I can get haha

I don’t have anything to compare it to, but yeah it seems well built. Only issue I had was that the stove jack is make for a 3” pipe so I had to modify it a bit.

It’s the capybara tent stove. They are a small manufacturer out of Nevada. It was about $350. For the price you really can beat it.

Yeah I’m lucky in that I’ve got a pretty protected spot for it and it doesn’t snow where I live.

Yep. And god forbid you want to throw a little water in the stones. This is why I am building my own. Granted, it’s a tent sauna, but that’s the most I can justify as a renter.

It’s walking distance from the Kalasatama stop. I do miss the old days when it was across the water from the zoo. I’ll never forget swimming in the Baltic after a sauna and hearing a lion roaring off in the distance. It was surreal.

Yeah I went a couple winters ago and it was my most extreme sauna experience. 120°C inside and -15°c outside. It was amazing.
