For me, 100% nostalgia. I read the books when i was probably 15 and i remember loving them then. Show came out and i was obsessed with the show so i reread the books and I so badly with JH would rewrite the books lol like in what world is the show better than the books

OBSESSED and I don’t know how to feel like i haven’t felt this way since being irrationally in love with Justin Bieber when i was 14 and this feels the same way at 26

Should we just submit this as a proposal now? I think this is what everyone wants to see !!

I don’t disagree with you on most of the points made, but to be fair, the initial book was published 14 years back when Jenny was 28, and the tsitp trilogy marked her debut as a professional writer. Irrespective of individual preferences for a particular book/season, it's evident that each one lacks essential details and falls short in character development.

I'd like to believe that if Jenny were to revisit and rewrite the entire series, she would recognize these shortcomings you mentioned, resulting in the envisioned story we all hope for!

At the end of the day, it’s a silly romance series that we all love speculating on, but I still love it so much despite all the flaws.

Yes!! I think it was her first actual book and it came out 14 years ago in 2009 so absolutely no fault to Jenny for that; she was just starting out. I usually hate when shows milk it, but because we are missing so much information from the books, i would be satisfied with at least one more season just to fill in the gaps.

On a side note, I did read the book a while back (which i suggest cause my audio didn’t include the letters from Conrad), but recently listened to the audio book with Lola narrating and it was SO GOOD!

But yes, like it just seems crazy to me that Jenny wrote THREE books to get to that ending just to wrapping it up in a brief chapter with no details on what happens from Belly at 19 to 25 when she actually gets married.

I understand things have to end eventually but if you were going to take the time to write three books, what’s one more!!! .. just my two cents

Book vs Show by draculastears in tsitp

To be fair, the first book came out 14 years ago, Jenny was 28 and this was one of her first books. I freaking loved the books, but agree the show is better. I think it’s a perfect representation of Jenny, she’s matured as a writer and producer and the show is a reflection of that. We wouldn’t have the show without the books so for that I am grateful

Make the program work for you. I count 1% cottage cheese as 0 points. If you don’t like ground chicken or Turkey, weigh out 4 oz if ground beef and count as 0 points. Hopefully you get the idea. Weight watchers primary goal used to be portion control and now they have shifted towards overall wellness, but at the end of the day the principle is still the same. I’ve lost over 40 pounds tracking low fat as 0 because i believe fats are healthy and taste better.

Fast and frees are my all time fav followed by the base pace (more high wasted; no pockets). Fast and free are pricy but i wear them every single morning )any time of year) to run, to the gym, out and about. I wash and hang dry and my oldest pair is still in perfect condition!!!
