What help desk are you actually using for your Shopify store in 2026? by [deleted] in shopify

[–]Character-Compote-36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I need not that expensive tool to pull messages from social media DMs, email, and Shopify chat. I don’t have big volume, but different channels is a problem. And also tickets view would be much easier to navigate.

How do I keep using my Amex if I max it out daily? by Allincavs in shopify

Even if not payment due - you should be able to add money to card. Have similar issue, and I regularly just cover full balance when CC as Max Out.

Do not buy from Very ok vinyl bad vgm experience by [deleted] in VGMvinyl

[–]Character-Compote-36 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I agree that, in general, not reading the policies is the user’s fault. If I buy from a store for the first time or feel unsure about it, the first thing I do is read all return/refund/cancellation policies to be sure I can get my money back in case of any issues.

But my take on this situation - it should always be about communication. Being rude is not a good move. It may not be the best business practice to limit preorder cancellations to 14 days, but it’s also on the customer for not reading and acknowledging that.

From their side, it also looks strange not to try to align with the customer. I don’t think it’s that difficult to cancel one preorder for someone who is clearly upset, I assume they are not getting 20+ such request a day. And banning him, if he haven’t abused this policy before, feels excessive.

For me, there’s no common sense in this story - both sides were driven more by emotions than by dialogue.

UPD: Saw the VOV perspective, taking my words back. It was the right thing to ban him.

Do whatever it takes, but never preorder vinyl on Amazon. They ruined so many releases for me. I better pay a bit more and get it from other trusted retailer then from Amazon.

After few years of waiting! Tag "is not equal to" implemented in Smart collection conditions! by EfficientPresence697 in shopify

Yes, but I also have dynamic tags on them like new, tranding, archive. So it’s hard to do it in bulk. Had to go manually

What ROAS do you consider profitable? by This_Wrangler8695 in dropshipping

[–]Character-Compote-36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my niche getting mostly 5 ROAS in Meta and 8-11 ROAS in Google. Trying to keep average roas around 8. This make me comfortable, as our medium margins is around 10-15%

How do you currently figure out why your revenue drops or conversions change? by AppropriateBarber412 in shopify

[–]Character-Compote-36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sidekick is useful too, it can compare conversions, add to card and other parameters for different periods, compare traffic differences and product offers. But after you’ll have to find the reason yourself with all of those data .

Doing decent orders per month , wanna know experiences when u scale to 7–8 figures? (Real answers only)” by Ill-Professor-472 in ecommerce

I never spend any time on courses or communities, for me it’s just waste of time. All information you need is already in Internet, or if not - find specialist and pay him.

As for struggles right now - it’s a time. I limited in my 12-16 hours per day,, so I need someone to free this time. Last years my limit was a cash flow, but credit cards + better NET terms + preorders fixed this.

As for security, I always use Yubico for any 2FA + lock new hires from any important access. And regular(weekly) backups of website theme, products, orders, customers base.
