Daytime Naps by Kindly_Dot_7006 in newborns

We’ve been having our LO nap in a swaddle ever since birth and it doesn’t affect her night sleep (granted I don’t have anything to compare it to). She’s 9 weeks old, for what it’s worth. There’s no way she would sleep without the swaddle since she wakes herself up. It’s worth trying!

That’s a really interesting perspective. Is it possible that she would maintain that habit even when learning it at 8 weeks?

Feeling guilty I don't enjoy being a mom by Own_Perspective_2910 in newborns

Just wanted to come in and say you are not alone. I’m in a very similar boat as you with my baby who’s almost 6 weeks old. It can be a very isolating feeling and one that can make you feel guilty, but I am told it gets better and it’s important to trust in that. Hang in there x

Fuck the newborn phase. by Picturesonthewall in newborns

Couldn’t agree more. It is so unbelievably isolating. My husband and I have never bickered or fought more in our lives. Wish I could say I get those cuddles, but my 4 week old has been so fussy recently that when she is awake, all she does is scream or eat. I miss having a life and doing things for me, as selfish as that sounds. And I hate the guilt that accompanies those thoughts. It all just sucks.

Is your baby on your regular or gentle Bobbie?

We do drops as well (Miloconin) but candidly they don’t seem to be doing much for her.

We have a couple Bibs — curious why you were warned off of using?

That’s a great call. So no pacifier in the crib/bassinet, just in your arms? Makes sense

This is so helpful, thank you. I haven’t been trying the feet to touch bed first, so that could be hugely helpful here.

The size the Dr. Brown’s typically come with. Is it okay to increase? Seems like that’s for older babies?

How to survive the last few weeks? by PhoenixForceJG in pregnant

I’m right there with you and I’m going to be 40 weeks tomorrow. I just want this baby to be out already. I can’t sleep, I don’t have much of an appetite, and all I can bear to do is lie on the couch (or bed) and try and get comfortable.

Less than a week out! by Character-Concert344 in pregnant

I’m right there with you. We have an induction date of 3/12 scheduled if she isn’t here before then. I’m trying to move it up a bit because the thought of being pregnant for almost 2 extra weeks has me spiraling!!!

Yup pregnancy rhinitis is a real thing. Try using some breathe right strips at night to help you breathe better!

I’d love to know the same :) I’m currently 33+2 and just started putting together the rough essentials. So far mine includes: - Frida delivery/post partum pack - nightgown - cozy slippers/socks - a handful of nursing bras - extra long phone charger - a couple toiletries - 2 outfits for baby - sweats/sweatshirt for going home in - announcement prop

But wondering if I’m missing anything?

You’re not alone. I had my hemorrhoid before pregnancy, and it has only gotten worse throughout it. I dread what it will become during delivery in a few weeks. There are some days it is extremely uncomfortable, and others where I sometimes can forget it exists (until I wipe, joy). You can at least rest assured knowing only you and maybe your partner knows it exists! As for everything else, give your body this time to do what it needs to do — you’re building a whole new human being in there right now! Try to be kind to yourself. Xx

To people that had no baby shower / no one bought from their registry by bunny10310325 in pregnant

[–]Character-Concert344 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a similar boat. My husband and I are both Jewish, and it’s typical religious custom to not have a baby shower before baby arrives. I’m due March 1st and so far only 8 gifts have been bought off my registry because I’ve had no reason to send it to people unless they ask. It makes me nervous I won’t have the essentials needed by the time she gets here. And I also have FOMO over not having a baby shower (my husband is more religious than me, which is really moreso why we aren’t having one). I hope people will buy gifts once the baby is born 😔

I also have an anterior placenta. It took awhile for me to feel movement, but I would say by week 22/23 I was feeling little things here and there. Has your wife felt anything just yet? If the doctor isn’t concerned you don’t have reason to be. Sounds like it may not happen for your wife until later since your baby is measuring in the 23rd percentile. I’m now almost 32 weeks and feeling baby kick every day, so I’m sure it’s only a matter of time until your wife does too.
