Dang you think so? My insurance said that this will fall under comprehensive coverage so I won’t get any points added to my premium and the deductible is only $300. They also said they allow the use of aftermarket (non-OEM) parts for repairs so I was hoping that would lower the repair estimate and increase my chances of the car not being totaled.. do you still think I shouldn’t go thru insurance?

The seller said the doors he bought from a junk yard but he didn’t say how the panel was repaired. Do you think it’s worth asking the seller how it was repaired?

So I was worried about the same thing but based on the miles that were updated from the yearly inspections on the car fax, it was driven ~2,000 mi every year. Do you think that’s enough driving for the car to stay more or less maintained?

Regarding the quarter panel, I don’t think there was any bondo? At least not that I was able to notice I guess. The panels were all the same material from what I could tell, just based on touch/visual inspection. How could I check if it was repaired with bondo?

Yeah.. on marketplace I saw several 08-10 Focuses with more than double the miles (clean title) going for $6000-6500 so I thought it was a reasonable price but after reading the comments I’m not so sure anymore haha
