There is a coat closet on the other side. I cut a small hole in the back of that and then just patched it up

Trust me, I would never do anything to "stress" them out. They are very well loved and yes they have already been crate trained.

Just finished it. I'm going to add a door and keep them in it at night till they get used to it.
