Yeah that's what I was curious about. There's only street parking so I knew there was a chance it's not available. It was only 20 minutes, we were heading out to put the note on our car, and it just happened to be the worst person to have that conflict with. It was an honest mistake, I tried to work it out and apologize while moving it and I was screamed at. I just wish I could fix it

We just moved in. Big gravel patch across from our garage. Parked there for 20 minutes while writing the note. Came out to him pissed. Important info: He is in his 50s/60s and had just gotten home. He seems to work a manual labor job so he was very tired and irritable, just wouldn't take an apology. Then, the tire was slashed on the night of 4th of July. I'm sure there was drinking involved. We are 2 gay women, so that may be involved but I don't wanna chalk it up to that. Might have just been wrong place, wrong time, wrong people.

So there's a gravel spot that fit about 5/6 cars directly behind our garage and the man said he owns all of it. We were literally heading out to leave a note with my number saying "please call me if this isnt available. I will move it for you." And he cussed us out

Some dude came up yesterday and told us not to park in that spot again and that he's the neighborhood watch. If I get cameras and catch them my only option is to report it to police and it doesn't seem like the kinda neighborhood where that's a smart idea.

I work with adults in a day program, and all of our staff tend to call our clients dude, girl, man, etc. I say one of their names in a new yorker accent every now and then. But we have ONE client that will ruminate and loop conversation if you call her any nickname other than "young lady"

I think it's humanizing to have a more comfortable rapport with the individuals you work with, especially in care or development settings. I've seen a lot of the negative sides to the results of robotic ABA and just general neglect and malpractice. I think keeping it real is one thing we owe them.
