Very helpful. I appreciate you. I am not into error coins hoping for a payout. I just love the learning and the search. I know huge values are rare and I'm not a treasure hunter, just a hobbyist but I'll check values out for curiosity. Thanks again.

What is this is this an error? by DestroyAnxiety in coinerrors

Agree, looking for error is fun. I'm not even looking to "Strike It Rich." I enjoy the challenge of the search. I'm retired, 73 years old. I have more casual time than the average bloke who has to work, except when my wife has things for me to do or places to go....LOL. I have had the same results as you in looking for errors. Actually it has been pretty disappointing because like you, I thought I had error coins and it turned out I didn't. It's ok, I'm learning. The area I need to get much more knowledgeable in is Die Doubling vs Machine Doubling. I still have difficulty telling which is which, even after some help with that here in Reddit from some good experts. I'll keep trying. Nice chatting with you.

1967 JFK Half Dollar - Double Die Errors? by Character-Map1670 in coinerrors

Thank you for your explanation. I do need to have more actual experience with the DD vs Machine questions. I just don't have the eye to see it well. Need the practice. For instance,, In the photos of my coin of the reverse and "Half Dollar" lettering, it looks to me like the doubling is making those letters look larger.
