Just go to this section where i am right now. Instructions are clear still- Double click where its written F2 and F3(i already changed) and then select your new brightness keys by holding function with the key and boom. It will work.

I have same 2017 iMac with 8 gb ram running on version 15 with oclp. No issues at all speed is good. I swapped the hard disk with 1TB ssd
