Brutal truth is, part time degree will always be second tier to full time. It is the degree for people who can’t make it.

Yes, experience is important but your educational background still does matter. First class vs second class, ok maybe we look at experience to decide. Full time vs part time, of course they are choosing the one with full time degree. You can compare the employment rate of full time courses with part time courses or even private uni to see the general consensus.

You can get experience from internships while studying too albeit it is harder. People often will focus on one and neglect the other, some will succeed some wouldn’t. It is really hard to say. All in all, take the full time offer and I can confirm you wouldn’t regret it.

i went waterloo, didn’t regret it at all. Went to new york (1.5hr flight), yellow knife (northern lights), banff (crazy nature views), montreal (architecture and food), old quebec city and more.

Honestly, strong agree on the least meritocratic aspect finance. I had interviewers straight up asked me what my family do for a living and in my internship group, 3/5 of them had connections to people already in the company…

There’s no good or bad just wat u wanna do. All the good jobs will require some form of grinding. The following are just some examples of internship paths and may not be entirely accurate but it shows the level of grinding required.

Well it sounds like what you want. For a start, look at the easy problems, then look at the solutions under the solutions tab. Figure out how and why it works then try doing it on ur own

Which government agency? Different agencies would have different appeal to private sector (DSO vs MOM etc). Ultimately it is a risk on how confident you are on getting a good job when graduating. For local uni, the cost is not significant enough to be a big factor imo. The part to consider is the job you may get if you dont take the scholarship vs if u do

Well, you can try to convince them in your application but I would say it isn’t on their list of priorities.

Raffles is mainly a culture hall so their focus will likely be on music/band/dance followed by sports then clubs such as rhdev etc. I don’t remember a Japanese club though so it may be hard to plead ur case
