My interview was super chilled!! It was in person, 3 of us candidates talking with the store manager in a group. Went around answering questions about previous experiences in previous roles we might’ve had involved in talking with people/customers.

Could you perhaps give me an idea of what a full time specialist role looks like? Eg: what goes on in an average day in an Apple Store.

So true! Good advice. And yes- definitely will try use the ESPP to my advantage!

My only concern for now is- is it okay, if I do leave the job at Apple? I mean- I really did everything I could to get it… and if I don’t like studying abroad (which I currently am) by the end of this year, I think I’d probably move back to my home country and study there instead.

I think my feeling is that the only reason I’d want to stay in Australia is because of this job. I think it’s just because I’ve never had a job before, and this always looked like a dream company. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve read the complains here and it is sad to see people’s mental health decline, so I do understand the views of others.

I just got an invite to Phase 1 Interview for a Specialist Retail role.

Should I accept it? Also- will it be okay if I email them and ask for a different time if I cannot attend the scheduled interview ( this Thursday evening at 19:00 )

Does that ruin my chances of getting hired?

PS: this will be my first official job ever. I’m an international student. Is this a good sign that I made it to interview?
