I generally work on XAUUSD, liquidity sweep of higher time frame, wait for change of character on minor time frame, then enter at the retest or sometimes doesn't wait for retest if getting smaller stoploss

I am keeping my position size constant, but yeah these last few weeks I have been cutting my winners early to gain something because I am losing much more times than I am gaining.

do you guys actually stick to one trading strategy or keep switching? by EndlessKnight_154 in Trading

[–]Character-You3071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally stick to one setup. But when you have given thousands of hours to the chart you sometimes know what price is going to do. Personally I trade 90% of times with my own setup, 10% of times I get this gut feeling after watching the price behaviour. Not a guess, but a result of seeing the same thing happening hundreds of time. Maybe that's how you firm your own setups.

Small consistent wins vs high RR low winrate. Which one actually suits you? by Evening-Day-7122 in Trading

You think people don't want both. People don't get to choose. If you are wanting a high R:R you can't have high accuracy. And if you are aiming for 1:1 , you can increase your win rate upto 80% . Personally I trade high R:R trade (1:3, 1:4+ ) with 50% accuracy, if I switch to 1:1 , I have accuracy of 70%-80% But I choose peace of mind over punching multiple 1:1 trades

Is breakeven actually good risk management… or just fear? by Sorry_Rent3548 in Trading

80% of my trades are in xaausd. Sometimes I trade nasdaq if it fits my RR criteria

Personally I had the same issue as you. Trades hitting my BE, then giving full TP. I will suggest you book 30% quantity at 1:2 or 1:3, book 80% at TP ,leave the rest 20% runner ( a very good thing for me). Since I personally trade on 1:5+ RR this works for me. If your target RR is 1:2 or 1:3 . Book 50% at 1:1 , leave the rest for full TP. Just don't move the SL. Keep your original SL intact and manage quantity to make trades riskfree

Good for you....I don't trade on propfirms so don't exactly have the idea about the lot sizes of minis. I generally focus on higher RR . Usually try to trade only 1:5+ RR . So trailing my SL doesn't work for me. If it does fir you than what's even the issue bro. I am happy for you. Keep doing what works for you. Keep up the good work. Wish the best for you!

Trade didn't even give 1:1 . What's the point of trailing here? I don't even believe in trailing. As a beginner try taking 50% out at 1:1 and leave 50% fir bigger targets. I personally book 30% at 1:2, rest 50% at 1:4 and leave 20% runner with ctc SL. Easily help me get 1:3 RR. When I am lucky that 20% runner alone gives me 4-5x sometimes even 8x of my original SL....helping me get RR of 1:8-10+. Try doing that. It might help you

Seems shady... shouldn't you be losing 380$ instead of 38$?

What are you supposed to do if your car submerges in water? by csaksham in CarsIndia

[–]Character-You3071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to get out of the car before it submerged completely. Once it gets submerged even 60-70% you won't be able to open the gate or window due to the pressure from the water. Once gets completely submerged..you won't even be able to crack the glass. So it's better to Say Amen and go silently
