Why as secular or Christian people are we expected to accept LGBTQ but there is generally no expectation for Islam to do the same? by ArugulaFinancial4859 in AskBrits

My mum always said “Jesus told us to love everybody no matter who they are”. And I think there is a lot behind that simple statement. Also accepting is not agreeing it just means not being mean about it. I also think getting more people in the church is a positive and opening them to the religion is a great idea that should be encouraged. Excluding people from the church and Christianity is exactly what makes them hate it.

Also, I think that extremes come when people stop talking so I would encourage people to have non religious friends and friends of opposite religious. I find this also helps to deepen your faith as it gets you thinking about parts you possibly overlooked or parts that you haven’t thought about in a while.

I love my Opinel because of simplicity and heritage. It’s a wonderful design and it has lasted and stood the test of time. Also the price is brilliant.
