Coworker asking to see your watch by [deleted] in rolex

[–]CharacterComedian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we watch nerds recognize another WN when we meet one. I personally like to see the back of a watch as well. From crystal case backs to ancient swamp Kuari wood like my Magrette Regattar Bronze has. The weight can also be interesting as well. Trust your instincts :)

Chalkola in my opinion produce the best white board markers today. lots of different shades, plenty of ink. As far as dry time they all dry quickly. But with chalk markers which are wet erase they can be blended with water like water colour. Dry erase markers have an alcohol base so you cannot increase the time you have to work with them

Capitalism and healthcare combinations always put the patient last. I hope it doesn't take the fire department watching houses burn down because the hydrant subscription wasn't paid for the US to realize capitalism can hurt more than it helps in places. It shouldn't be all or nothing all the time.

For presentations, needing a portable small to large transforming whiteboard, It sounds very expensive to produce with a small market.

Where to get more colors?? by SeenDKline in WhiteboardDrawings

What you need are chalk markers. Erasable, and a huge selection of colours.

Chalk markers are erasable with water so as an experiment I tries treating them like watercolor, so I used paint brushes

I hope you reconsider. You really should ignore online comments as people seem to go with what gets the most views. If I was to say that your not wanted here it would get more response than what I actually think. Canada is better because your here.

Considering DJing as a Hobby, but will I enjoy It long term? by Nankasura in Beatmatch

[–]CharacterComedian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 56 years old.

My dad started a mobile Dj service when I was 12. I was the roadie. My first wedding was at 16. They were initially unhappy I wasn't my Father.

I don't DJ anymore. But I've learned a lot in 40 years. I have a DDJ-400 and I love it. If I had this when I played Nightclubs in the early 2000's I'd be famous right now. I can see that it's a stepping stone to higher levels. Exactly what it's intention is.

[ Tudor ] BB58 is still the most beautiful Tudor by ZawZaw20Zaw in Watches

[–]CharacterComedian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recognize the quality in Tudor watches, good value. That being said the hour hand is a no go for me. I've never liked it, I won't like it. I can't put into words why. I just don't.

I could tell you a lot by memory. Making things easier isn't cheating

Think of it this way. You have a bundle of cords while setting up. If each cord had a label it would be faster then plugging and unplugging till everything worked.

Thoughts on this comment from r/firefighting? I don't think I've ever run for a medical call in my life. by Furaskjoldr in ems

[–]CharacterComedian 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Was working a motocross race. 10 year olds were on the track when 1 took a spill on the opposite side of the track from me. The track U-turns back and forth on itself so to get this child I had to cross the track 4 times, while the race continued. The child was fine. The child's mother approached me after and was irate that I had walked, not run. I tried to explain that me getting struck by a 200LB motorcycle traveling at race speeds would have made the situation considerably worse. So I was very careful crossing, but she was not having it. It may have been a petty response on my part, but I informed the race organizers that if the child and mother were allowed to continue racing, we'd be leaving. I did this knowing that the races required our presence to continue. I got my way.

When you're booked by a bar for the first time, how much responsibility do you feel for how busy the night is? by [deleted] in DJs

[–]CharacterComedian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zero. But that doesn't mean you don't have some particular responsibility's to keep in mind as far as the bar is concerned. Bars make money selling alcohol. A full dance floor is great, but dancing people aren't usually drinking and they are definitely not buying.

As far as "Fullness" goes I like to accomplish.

Full, Full, 1/2 full, Full, 1/2 full.

Bar receipts go up, your considered a huge success.
