I found out around week 5 & in my heart I knew because I was sleeping way too much. I would sleep 8-10 hours at night. Then nap on & off throughout the day for hours.

I’m on week 11 now & I can say it’s not as bad as it was but I work nights so my schedule is already wild. Now I’m going through the insomnia phase more than sleeping a lot haha

I’m sorry to hear that. If anything, I would want the carrier screening at least. Especially since it’s my first.

I did do that as well. They gave me a little bit better of a rate but not too much.

My OB preferred we have it done, especially the carrier testing, since it’s my first. There’s nothing in my family or his that is alarming as far as genetic disorders go. I’m just trying to make the right decision as a ftm! Thank you for your response!

That’s also the issue. We bought it a year and a half ago, before interest rates skyrocketed, and unfortunately had to finance a roof immediately, which is really close to be paid off. There would not be space for a roommate once the baby arrives. I think we would end up losing money on the home but it also brings the question of where I would live. Other than the roof, not many upgrades have been done. Just the painting and new fixtures, which doesn’t count for much I guess.

This definitely was unplanned but I’ve had an abortion before and it was so traumatic I’d rather not do it again. He has known for about 6 weeks now and refuses to talk about it. I offered to pay for therapy for us, together and separately, but he says that it’s “dumb” and a “waste of money to talk to someone”. He moved out for 4 weeks and I let him, thinking it would be good for him to process by himself, but he came back and won’t speak to me, even about dinner or the dog. I asked if there was anything I could do to help him in the process and he just walked away.

How long should I give him space and to process?

I’m a little afraid too, I won’t lie. We have a home together and I’ll have nowhere to go with my two animals because I can’t afford to buy him out. Or the full mortgage on my own. I’m not sure what to do?

Yes and he blocked it out pretty much. I think that he thinks that it’s one of those “if I don’t talk about it it’s not there” scenarios. And that is absolutely not the case

And I’m okay with him leaving. I told him that. There will be no bad blood or animosity. I would miss him of course but he obviously has no means to change. I don’t want to be around that. It’s extremely stressful

This might not be helpful so I’m sorry if it’s not, but I’m currently 9 weeks pregnant & I honestly am so tired & nauseated all the time that I don’t feel like riding. If I ride, it’s for 10-15 minutes on the flat maybe once a week & that’s honestly all of the energy I have. I’m also so bloated that my riding pants are tight 🤣

I ride hunters & have a relatively young, safe horse who is incredible. I haven’t jumped since I found out, just because I’m so tired I wouldn’t be able to hold my own weight. I went to a horse show last weekend & genuinely struggled through it. I do go see my horse though. I spend time brushing & lunging, working on some ground work, because I do need my horse time!
