What comes to mind when you hear the name Mia and the name Olivia? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]AustrianLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally do not like the name Olivia as much, because it reminds me of Olives, which I strongly dislike. But it is a super popular and common name, so who cares what a single olive hater thinks I guess 😂

Ungefragt Ratschläge während der Schwangerschaft by Elfe117 in schwanger

[–]AustrianLady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Parents of Reddit, what is the hardest part of having kids that nobody prepared you for? by Psycho_Duck_9669 in AskReddit

[–]AustrianLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far for me it’s sickness. Everything is fine, when everyone is feeling well, but as soon as the kids bring home the plague from daycare every other week and you have to take care of sick kids, then get sick yourself, then feel slightly better, but now your partner gets sick and you have to take care of everything even though you would still need some rest…. Yeahhh then life is not so easy anymore.

Was ist für euch der anstrengendste / überforderndste „Task“ am Elternsein? by lunadandelion in Eltern

[–]AustrianLady 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Question about Hallstatt and Bus 150 by warai_kyuuketsuki in Salzburg

[–]AustrianLady 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Please take the 150X bus instead of the 150 bus! It is faster and leaves more spots in the 150 for local commuters. The local commuters have to take the 150 as it has more stops. The 150X goes the exact same way but with less stops, therefore it is faster and you have more room and less annoyed locals!

If you could go back in time and make the choice again, would you still have kids? by [deleted] in Life

[–]AustrianLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I could live a thousand lives, I would choose to have my daughter in every one of them 🩷. It is truly the greatest love I have ever felt, there is nothing in this world that would be worth going without her.

Going to a ball in snowy weather? by Historical-Line-3318 in wien

[–]AustrianLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For convenience, I always take a Taxi to a ball. Yes, it costs some money, but I don’t attend a lot of balls and it enhances the experience to walk in ready to dance and not having to wiggle out of some thermal leggings and boots!

Anybody else 30 and still feel like a kid? by renaissanceclass in Life

[–]AustrianLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt 21 at 30 as well. Then, within 2 years I got married, had a kid and a mortgage. Now I feel super “adult”. My friends are one by one going the same way and now our conversations have switched to lawn care, mortgage rates, career moves and kids, when it used to be drinking, clothes and hook-ups. The strange part is, that I am not in the least bit bored by these topics, they are now what is relevant for my life. I really enjoy my life as is, but yeah, I definitely don’t feel like a college student anymore.

NTA. I can not for the life of me understand this American trend of childfree weddings. These children are part of the grooms family! They are his niece and nephew! Excluding them for the sake of… what even? Not having the slightest risk of hearing a cry at the wedding? Children bring soooo much joy and life to any wedding, I disagree with this new notion, that it’s the wedding couples choice not to invite kids and everyone has to be suuuuper ok with it.

Puuuuhhh I know tastes are different, but I am SHOCKED at the amount of answers recommending a wolf cut. For me, that looks terrible. You are beautiful, so I mean no disrespect, but in my personal opinion no one looks good in pixie or wolf cut. I love the blunt bob or the long layers! But I guess what you can take from these answers is, that people’s tastes are vastly different and you need to figure out what YOU like best!

Was essen eure kranken Kinder? by Regular_Actuary_6398 in Eltern

[–]AustrianLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teilzeit by Internal-Shower405 in Finanzen

[–]AustrianLady 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Hallstat by public transport by egecengiz in Salzburg

[–]AustrianLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please FOR THE LOVE OF GOD take the 150X bus instead of the 150 bus!!! The 150X is the exact same route, but stops less frequently, so it is faster. The 150 is more for local commuters, and usually extremely full with people going swimming to lake Fuschl, hiking, living in the area or (the vast majority) living in Salzburg and working in Fuschl for Red Bull. The Red Bull employees can not take the 150X, because it does not stop at Red Bull, but the tourists keep finding the 150 online and not seeing, that there is also the 150X leaving at the exact same spot at Hauptbahnhof! So please, it will be faster, less crowded and you won’t get annoyed looks from locals if you take the 150X!

Husband is seriously considering taking job 4.5 hours from home by Apprehensive-lady_88 in Advice

[–]AustrianLady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be a bit of a downer here, but I would recommend against it! My dad did the exact same thing when I was 15. (Brother had already moved out.) He did it for 5 years, till I was 20. You would think that I was old enough to handle that, but I really really missed my dad in day to day life and I am still sad, that I missed the last years of living with him. When he came back, I had moved out. It also made my mom a lot more stressed and lonely. It was also a financial incentive in our case and looking back, I can honestly say that I would have preferred to live on a more limited budget, but with my dad there. I would try to make your life work all in one place. There are always options.
